"Brower Mechanical, Inc. gave a ridiculous bid. Their bid for removing the old air ducts alone was $5,000.00 more or something. It was crazy expensive. I don't understand it. He was also trying to sell me a whole new heating and air conditioning unit. My husband and I are not quite clear on the estimate. It wasn't very clear. He kind of bounced all over the place. I told my husband when he calls back, I want to tell him to email us something that's a little bit more clear. He was really pushing that the work with the Energy Audit, which is great, but I was just dumbfounded by the fact that they use the same insulation of this other company was $5,000.00 more for the same thing. And, other companies were going to sanitize the air ducts, but they weren't. He was very punctual and friendly. He was very informative, of course. I did like that they worked with HUD to help people make their homes more energy efficient. That's important, I think. But like I said, just the fact that they were so much more expensive for the same thing - I was very disappointed by that."
