"I contacted Unique Indoor Comfort, among others, to obtain a proposal for replacement of my furnace and air conditioning system. Unique took measurements off all the rooms (for sizing calculations), answered all my questions, and provided me with a written proposal with several system options ranging in cost. Some other contractors that had estimated this job had failed to either take measurements or provide a detailed written proposal. Although Unique did not have the cheapest proposal for this work, I felt most comfortable choosing Unique for the job because of their professional approach to the work, their ability to answer my questions, and their well-detailed proposal. The installation took one day. The contractors wore booties and put down cloths to keep my carpet clean when moving equipment. The installation went well, and I was satisfied with the quality of the work. The only issue I had was that the installation team forgot to install an upgraded piece of duct work. This duct piece only affected the efficiency of the system, not the operation, but it was included in the contract and touted by Unique as a benefit of their installation. After I noticed this and contacted Unique, they apologized and sent someone to install the upgrade within a few days. Overall, I am very satisfied with the system and the installation."

"We recently moved into a house built in 1987 with the original air conditioning unit, which constantly ran without stopping.  It was a brutal summer, but it was definitely not running properly.  Joe came out himself to take a look.  He took a look at the entire system and suggested that we service the AC to make it function properly and not constantly run.  He also changed the air filter in the furnace.  I appreciated the fact that he did not push a new air conditioning system in the house considering the unit we have is 25+ years old.  He also gave us a few ideas on how to make our home more energy efficient.  He did a great job.

we had a leak problem and the tech came and looked over our equipment, fixed the problem and left. It cost us nothing and we have had their home heating service contracts for over 20 years.  They have NEVER ONCE not shown up or not helped and in the two furnace emergencies we had--they were here with in 1hr.

"My blower on my heater was not working properly. I had changed the filter this morning and it was filthy. After I installed it the blower did not kick into the higher setting. I called Tru North at 7:00 AM ET and they were at my house by 8:30 AM ET- talk about customer service- WOW! Just before Tru North arrived the blower started working. JP and Brian looked at my unit and could not find anything wrong except a big hair ball near the blower. They cleaned it up and were totally awesome. They recommended I have the unit serviced and air ducts cleaned out. Both were professional and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend TRU NORTH. Way to go guys :)"

"They said there was a bend in the pipe. They said that the quality of the pipe was not very good. Also it hadn't been backfilled properly so it created this bend in the pipe and the air pocket caused a problem. I was out of warranty for the house, it was a year or two after maybe even three years after the warranty. I called them and explained the situation. They said I was outside of the warranty and we are not going to do it. So I kind of threatened them a little bit to see if I could get them to move. They came out and they brought another company who said it had nothing to do with that and it was a blockage between the toilet and the outside. I never saw that. They snaked it and I paid the additional fee for that, and I still have the problem. I didn't continue down the builder path because I thought it was a losing battle at this point. I didn't get anywhere. It's going to run me a couple thousand dollars. You can't get a backhoe in there so they have to dig it by hand and remove the section of the pipe to put a new piece of pipe in there. I had a bathroom in the basement put in. There is a pump that pushes water or sewage out. Whenever I notice there is a problem I force the pump to run and it takes care of the problem because it forces water through the area. Once a month I go and run it a couple times and I don't have a problem. Mattioni was probably right in his assessment. They were very professional. I would use them again. The price is consistent with what other people are charging, but they are pretty high in general. Mattioni recorded it as well. That is something the other company didn't do. That may explain why the were a little higher. They came out when they said the would and did exactly what they said they would do. I said I have a problem and they looked at it."
