"Excellent experience again with Alpha Structural. Charlie Rosenkranz came to see the 3-story apartment building in West Hollywood. We discussed what the soft story retrofit plans will likely include. He's knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciated his professional no-pressure approach and answering our questions. Alpha performed an exploratory investigation of the support structure, as architectural plans were not available. They engineered the plans with city approval. They then consulted with us and provided the approved THP (Tenant Habitability Plan) paperwork. Production Manager Dave Schlaich and Job Supervisor Seth Price met me before construction. Dave went over the approved plans and explained the work that would be performed, and the purpose. They both answered all my questions. Lawrence and Antonio were the main work team. They were very pleasant and answered all our questions. Both had great explanations with Lawrence being very detailed. Seth provided timely progress reports by phone and text. He answered all questions, and provided contacts for automatic shut-off gas valves and stucco work. Despite Covid-19, they scheduled and passed inspections, and completed the work in under a month. We've seen projects by other companies stuck in limbo for months with no progress, so we chose Alpha to avoid complications. They removed all debris, and left the property clean. The tenants and neighbors had no complaints. Daniel Aparicio also explained various issues. Communication with everyone, including the office staff, was excellent. We're very pleased with this experience."

"Raj, is a stand-up guy full of integrity. We needed Structural Engineering Design and Calculation services for a retaining wall in our backyard- the wall is neighbor adjacent and retaining a slop, and would exceed 75LF in length and 4FT height. It needed to be designed thoughtfully; And we needed it to be prepared and presented to the City for a Building Permit, so it also had to adhere to our city's unique municipal codes and ordinances. And we needed it done ASAP. Raj, took the challenge and delivered! Raj, came over immediately, he worked over the weekend for us, and delivered all the necessary designs, calculations and drawings, such that it can go to the City by Monday morning. All while putting up with our countless questions, emails, and phone calls. And of course the Engineers at the City Planning & Building Department granted the permit without hassle. His patience, professionalism, and calm demeanor is why we will call Raj again for all of our Engineering needs in the future."

We spoke to me about his concerns with the project and answered all my questions over the phone. He was excellent to work with. Professional & Knowledgeable. Would highly recommend reaching out for technical issues concerning residential engineering. The reason he wasn't hired was that he provided feedback that dissuaded us from taking on a costly project that would not have achieved our stated goals. "Conrad was great to work with from beginning to end. We originally asked Conrad and 2 other landscapers for a bid on an existing backyard design that had been prepared for us by an architect. When we realized that the cost for that design was way out of our budget, we asked Conrad if he could change the bid to reflect the use of less expensive materials and simpler execution so we could reduce the overal cost without compromising the design. He came up with a design that was mostly faithful to the architect's vision, that accomplished our main goals for the space and was a fraction of the original bid. We hired him over the other companies because he always responded to every challenge and request with equanimity and an informed plan. He listened to what we wanted as well as what our parameters were, and worked creatively with us within our limitations. During the whole process, Conrad and his crew consulted with us regularly and were open to figuring out and executing changes that arose in the plans as the space evolved. Conrad always communicated clearly and responded promptly, thoughtfully to quickly to any questions or concerns. His crew was always prompt and respectful and they worked quickly and well. The work went so well, that they were finished almost a week ahead of their projected completion time. The backyard looks and functions much better than before and, most importantly, the drainage system works well to channel rain and run off away from our home. We're very pleased with the work Del Mar Landscaping performed for us! We plan to hire them again and I would recommend them to anyone as being fair, creative and professional in all aspects of their work."
