"We recently worked with Johnson Custom Builders to complete a total remodel of our master bathroom and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. We interviewed about 5 companies for the job, and it was clear from the start that working with the owner at JCB was a perfect match for us. This was our first major renovation, and we were anxious about...basically everything! We worked directly with the owner, and he made sure that we knew exactly what to expect at every point of the process. He encouraged us to dream big and then figured out ways to value engineer a solution that was closer to our budget. He brought experts into the project and was very respectful of our home and our family while the project was in process. He was the perfect blend of consultant, designer, builder, project manager, and sometimes even a mediator (!) when we couldn't agree on things. I initially got in touch with him about new construction design questions, and when we discovered that our current home porch posts had rotted through due to faulty design by the original home designer, Josh jumped into action. He had his engineer and construction crew to our door within 24 hours to take a look and put together a plan. He took my design ideas and brought them to life. He was transparent about all parts of the cost (to include his profit), and gave us to option to lower the cost by hauling away debris and painting the porch (which we were more than willing to do). Any delays with the work were met with a phone call and followup email if he didn't get through to either my husband or I immediately, and the construction crew did very high quality work. We were beyond pleased with his customer service! We will definitely use Revival Home Designs in the future when we decide to build our forever home."

"We needed some room additions to our small house in Burien. After speaking with several other architects and seeing how flaky they were right off the bat, we were dreading the whole process. After speaking with Char once we knew we were in good hands. Her communication was perfect. We would have weekly updates to go over the process and discuss any changes or recommendations. We were on a tight budget for the building costs, so when we found a contractor that we enjoyed, they were able to understand and calculate an accurate estimate from her drawings that were within our budget. She was able to get all the permitting for the additions from the City of Burien within 3 weeks with no redactions. We would hire her again, as matter of a fact, we did hire her for another build/design, Immediately after designing the house additions, but we just ran out of money for that build. I even recommended her to several other friends with their builds."

"Khoa Ha is more than just a builder/carpenter. He's a creative. By this I mean, in addition to his outstanding carpentry skill, he uses his ability to re-imagine, or to think outside the box, and this talent allows him to come up with brilliant solutions. We had an old, poorly-built, amateurish, set of outdoor access stairs leading to a tenant's upper apartment unit. They were not to code, and were coming apart. In addition to this, the front door and the side light window of the apartment unit had been framed in so badly that a 1"x1" piece of daylight was exposing the apartment to the elements! I had already received 3 bids for the job by the time Khoa met me on site. Why? I just didn't have confidence in those contractors. It requires advanced skill to build a safe set of stairs. And, as long as these stairs were going to be demo-ed, I'd hoped to improve the footprint/design/layout with the new build. Khoa saw, immediately, the problem with the existing layout as built, and quickly sketched a re-design on scrap paper. I asked myself, why didn't any of the other contractors I'd met on site, understand, or recognize that it was the existing layout/design that was flawed. The other carpenters offered to re-create the stair run in the same configuration, and, to have them take up an even larger footprint that what was existing! The footprint was restricted on all 4 sides, and was limited to a very specific, contained area. Khoa recognized the problem right away, and was able to get me to see it, as well, which gave me a great deal of confidence in his ability. As he explained, "I do this type thing all the time with stairs". When the bid came in it was nearly 2x what the other contractors' were. I was disappointed, thinking I wouldn't be able to get close enough with my budget to use him. Rather than moving on to another contractor, I simply gave Khoa the bottom line number for my project, and expected to hear him laugh. My budget was just HALF of his original estimate. And, to his credit, rather than blowing me off, he worked with me in order to shave the original bid down, in half, to fit my funding for the project. Over multiple communications with me, he dedicated himself to deciding what existing materials could be reused, and to re-thinking the use of pressure-treated materials vs. higher end lumbers. And, in the end, he was even able to include a new door and window install that needed to be included in the project, as well. It is obvious to me Khoa works very hard to build relationships and to stay flexible within a budget. The difference Khoa's re-designed has made, cannot be under-stated. My tenant is thrilled! I'm thrilled! Khoa Ha and JJ Construction will be the first I call on for my construction needs going forward. I will recommend him to any of my friends, family or colleagues who ask. "Having the need for a topo survey, I requested three bids, two from prior providers and Simply Land Survey. I got the lead from KynaDesign, my selected architect. Hong was easy to talk to, flexible with the schedule, and clearly a hard working guy. His price was in the middle of the other two, but his willingness to meet my schedule made him preferable over the others. The final result was very fast, ad explained to me thoroughly. A great value for the money."

"He did a very good job for me. It cost me about $500 more than what I budgeted but landscaping is so labor intensive and I mean it cost a fortune to get anything done with landscaping, but he did a really good job for me. It costs me more than I wanted to spend, but he showed up on the day he said he would with eight people and they worked all day on my yard and then it was done. They work the buds off and my neighbor came over and this was like vow and it looks beautiful. My neighbor wanted help with interior design on her house and stuff and I said what you need to do is you need to subscribe to Angie's list and you need to get on there and you need to get quotes and you need to get at least three quotes and you need to find an interior designer to help you and you can have your house look fabulous. It was worth the extra $500 dollar I paid just from a service point of view. I would use them again. I would call him again to get a bid. Everything is fine except on the pricing because I don't think he was the lowest price, but he definitely wasn't the highest priced. Meanwhile I sold the house in April and in June the prices went up 10% and I could have made another $50000."
