"We hired Obsidian to come out and see if we could do an addition off the back of our home in the Northside of Richmond, and to have them do a structural inspection of the home to see if anything else should be addressed. Charles and Chris were both extremely knowledgeable, thorough, thoughtful, and enjoyable to interact with during the whole inspection and in follow up. They provided me with solutions to help address the drainage around our property to help address some structural issues with our covered from porch and to help eliminate moisture from our basement and crawl space. They even indicated they would be willing to do the drafting for our addition at a significantly lower price than the architects we had interviewed. Definitely would recommend them for anyone seeking a structural engineering firm."

"In the spring of 2024, I started on a project to add a porch to the front of my house. Tucker gave good advice on surveying the lot before working on the design. Looking at my house and the other houses on the street, he should have realized that a $50,000 porch would not make economic sense. I wish he would have talked me in another direction. Some of the features I requested were not on the initial drawing, nor was there a description of the materials. I assumed he did not take good notes at our initial meeting. They are poor estimators of their timer requirements. Quality of drawings was good. I wish Tucker would have talked me out of a porch addition at our initial meeting. "I hired Gregg’s Gardens in September of 2021 for a landscaping project. Tasks included: Removal of weeds, sticks, existing Azaelas, landscape timbers, etc. from planting beds, excavating / enlarging planting beds, creating a new planting bed off my deck, installing new plants in front / back yard, adding mulch to beds, and aerating, seeding, and fertilization of my yard. All work was done as promised, in a timely manner, and at the end of the project, all debris was removed and taken off site. AC Gregg was very professional, communicated effectively, and returned all phone calls in a timely manner. I had researched several companies before hiring Gregg’s Gardens, and went with them because they offered a more competitive price, and also had good reviews on Angi’s List. When a few plants had problems later on, per our agreement, AC did not hesitate to replace them - no questions asked. They do quality work, at a reasonable price, and offer outstanding customer service. I highly recommend them and would use them again. In fact, I did use them again, just this week (3/23/22). I hired them for another project, to add a few more plants, and to install new mulch to the flower beds. Once again, I was very satisfied with their work."
