Chuck began by exploring the existing house, making measurements, studying details, and doing numerous sketches. His enthusiasm for the project was encouraging. We collaborated frequently as he developed detailed plans and had them professionally reviewed. The plans moved easily through the permitting process, and they impressed the contractor and his subs once work began: I heard many times that the architect’s drawings and notes were more clear and complete than those they are used to working with. Chuck stayed involved throughout the project, helping me make decisions and offering creative solutions to the small difficulties that arose."

"Todd Willoughby is a very talented architect. We have had the pleasure of working with him to design our custom home in Middleburg, Virginia. Todd is extremely knowledgeable about residential and commercial construction. This is our third custom home, and we have worked with several other architects on various projects through the years. My husband is in commercial construction and has worked with numerous architects in the past forty years. The biggest difference with Todd is that we felt as though he wanted to design the house that WE wanted, not the house that he wanted to design for us. He listened to every suggestion and made every change we recommended to design our home exactly the way we envisioned. His step by step design process allowed us to see our ideas come together. We have never seen an architect be able to do this. It helped immensely. "The Rock n Block group did a great job on my project. We replaced two sidewalks, the garage apron and added two patios with colored, stamped concrete.
