"We hired Shay to correctly vault our home’s ceilings after they were unsafely vaulted years earlier by a licensed general contractor. Shay, their construction manager, gave us a typed, 17 page contract on the SAME DAY that he came to give us an estimate (!) The contract was highly specific, with detailed scope of work, and contained many protections for the homeowner, several which we referred to during the project. Their bid wasn’t the lowest, nor was it the highest — two came in at double and triple Shay’s estimate, one at 30% less. We were inspired by Shay’s rapidly produced and detailed contract — along with the excellent references that they gave us — to go with them, and we’re very glad that we did. They started a month AHEAD of schedule, and had reasonable progress payments as the project continued. Every step of the way their work was on time and professional, and their change orders were always necessary and reasonable. They followed the architectural and structural plans in great detail, worked well with our structural engineer, and in several instances saved us from having to rip out parts of our floor and a kitchen window through their effective negotiations with the planning office. All building inspections were passed with no difficulties, and the site was cleaned up immaculately upon completion of the project."

"Excellent Architect We hired SSA, Inc. for the exterior and interior remodel of our Autobody shop building. It is a challenging project since the building was never upgraded to be current code compliant. There are existing items to be legalized as well. She is very personable, creative and suggested solutions and design that are both effecient for our setup as well as acceptable by the City. "I recently contracted with Brothers and Brothers building to complete renovations on two bathrooms and expansion of the master bedroom walk in closet. This was my second remodeling project having completed a home rebuild a while ago, so I have prior experience working with contractors. "Shilpa working with her structural engineer completed all the architectural and structural plans and calculations for a 400SF single story addition, complete with drilled piers and grade beams, in just over two months for submittal to City for review. Shilpa is very easy to work with and is quite readily available to fit my work and project schedule. Shilpa is very responsive to my comments and timely completion of required documents. Cost is reasonable. City has few review comments and issued permit for construction. I would definitely retain Shilpa again when the need comes up."
