"Bryan from level Engineering was very helpful and was aware of our time line. We really appreciated his work."

"We hired Shay to correctly vault our home’s ceilings after they were unsafely vaulted years earlier by a licensed general contractor. Shay, their construction manager, gave us a typed, 17 page contract on the SAME DAY that he came to give us an estimate (!) The contract was highly specific, with detailed scope of work, and contained many protections for the homeowner, several which we referred to during the project. Their bid wasn’t the lowest, nor was it the highest — two came in at double and triple Shay’s estimate, one at 30% less. We were inspired by Shay’s rapidly produced and detailed contract — along with the excellent references that they gave us — to go with them, and we’re very glad that we did. They started a month AHEAD of schedule, and had reasonable progress payments as the project continued. Every step of the way their work was on time and professional, and their change orders were always necessary and reasonable. They followed the architectural and structural plans in great detail, worked well with our structural engineer, and in several instances saved us from having to rip out parts of our floor and a kitchen window through their effective negotiations with the planning office. All building inspections were passed with no difficulties, and the site was cleaned up immaculately upon completion of the project."

"Rich has completed several projects in the past and plans breezed through plan check, I did not use him for this project because of engineering requirements in the job. ."

"Decided to not pursue the my project that required an Architect."

"Very professional, on time no problem. Joy to work with such competent architect"

"Mark Brand asked all of the right questions and worked tirelessly with the city permit department to make sure everything we wanted to do would be approved. Beyond being amazing on the phone with the city, his design fit with our mid-century home and anyone who has seen it is amazed at the transformation of our small back yard. We started this project with Mark in 2019, long before COVID-19, and completed the major construction in October of 2020. The actual construction began in May 2020 with demo, to completion in October 2020. Mark and his staff were with us through the entire process, communicating with our Contractor and Pool installer and keeping everyone in the loop and on track. I had never worked with an architect before, and feel grateful that my first experience was with Mark Brand and his team. Fees are explained up front, and although the fees were a healthy part of our budget, I know I got what I paid for! Communication with email and phone calls, as well as site visits were always timely, with any issues explained and problems worked through and resolved to avoid delays."

"The team did amazing job on my bathroom remodel project. The crew showed up every day and was extremely hard working. Great attention to details and quality of craftsmanship. Daniel & Nick were super responsive and always helpful. Theyâ ve made whole experience super smooth and it was a cruise for me. Thanks to the whole team for amazing job!"

"We hired Shilpa as the third architect for our project. We were not happy with the first two. She delivered on the design and execution was as expected. This was for a 2200sq feet single family home in Sunnyvale. She fought back hard with the city planning division to get the plan approved to our taste. Most of the challenges were around city officials imposing their design choices on us. Very few technical issues in her drawings. We hired a structural engineer whom she had not worked with before and they were able to execute the project smoothly. We are half way through our project and Shilpaâ s drawing had no significant issues. We do consult her time to time when we have second thoughts about design decision and she provides alternatives. Shilpa was a great ally in revision process and we highly recommend Shilpa for her architectural services."

"Very knowledgeable. Iâ ve dealt with a lot of Structural Engineers. His ability to relate complex situations into easy to understand explanations clearly shows how knowledgeable he is. His background in construction adds a constructability component that is unmatched. Highly recommended. ."

"I was referred to Phani at AxisTerra Design by structural engineer I hired for my home renovation project to remove load bearing walls in living room. The referral is like god send in a stressful state where my home renovation project permit is pending for 2 months and San Jose city came back asking for kitchen architectural plans for permit issuance. Phani very quickly helped and provided the design plan in two days. He followed up with me multiple times to get all the details needed to avoid back and forth iterations. Phani shared the plans on the same night at 10 P.M. Once, I confirmed the next, he shared the stamped plans. I already referred AxisTerra Design to a friend for his home renovation project, and without any doubt or hesitation recommend AxisTerra Design for any home renovation project."
