"We were super impressed by Ryan Johnson. In preparing for our full kitchen and attic remodel, we met with so, so many contractors (GCs, flooring, carpenters, architects/engineers, etc) and Johnson Custom Builders truly came out at the top. Ryan was prompt and clear in all of his communications. He got in touch with me right away to schedule an appointment after I requested a bid. He showed up on time, and we had a thorough conversation about our project. He clearly has a lot of great ideas and knows what he is talking about. He quickly caught some elements in our drawings that could be done differently for better effect. As a woman who is interested in design and building, I often feel diminished or disrespected when meeting with contractors, but with Ryan it felt as if he was talking to me as a peer. I deeply appreciate that. After our appointment he promptly sent me a very detailed cost breakdown for a project that was similar in scope to ours, and was patient as I asked clarifying questions. In the end, we decided we wanted the adventure and learning experience of contracting the job ourselves, but will gladly come crawling back to Ryan with our tails between our legs if we end up needing to hire someone."

After speaking with Char once we knew we were in good hands. Her communication was perfect. We would have weekly updates to go over the process and discuss any changes or recommendations. We were on a tight budget for the building costs, so when we found a contractor that we enjoyed, they were able to understand and calculate an accurate estimate from her drawings that were within our budget. She was able to get all the permitting for the additions from the City of Burien within 3 weeks with no redactions. We would hire her again, as matter of a fact, we did hire her for another build/design, Immediately after designing the house additions, but we just ran out of money for that build. I even recommended her to several other friends with their builds."

"Amado and his team of very capable and highly skilled folks did an awesome job transforming my backyard into a living area that we look forward to each day. We did an interior and exterior remodel of our home and our experience was quite a contrast. While we had terrible experience with our interior contractor (PM me if you need more about it) and i was quite skeptical about engaging any other contractors, Amado came across as pleasant - always transparent with the recommendations on design and the pricing and more importantly a stickler to the commitment on the quality of the workmanship and the deadlines. "Josh has always been prompt and communicative with every interaction we've had. I initially got in touch with him about new construction design questions, and when we discovered that our current home porch posts had rotted through due to faulty design by the original home designer, Josh jumped into action. He had his engineer and construction crew to our door within 24 hours to take a look and put together a plan. He took my design ideas and brought them to life. He was transparent about all parts of the cost (to include his profit), and gave us to option to lower the cost by hauling away debris and painting the porch (which we were more than willing to do). Any delays with the work were met with a phone call and followup email if he didn't get through to either my husband or I immediately, and the construction crew did very high quality work. We were beyond pleased with his customer service! We will definitely use Revival Home Designs in the future when we decide to build our forever home."
