"My wife and I purchased a home built in the ‘70s that was in good condition but in desperate need of a complete remodel. He and his team worked well offline where we often exchanged and updated designs by exchanging emails and annotated PDF files—this was very productive as my wife and I both have demanding careers. He and his team also helped us through the city’s permitting process to get the requirements and details done; they were thoughtful and swift in responding to the city’s requests. There were no surprises with the design fees.  In the end, we have a beautiful modern and functional design that fits in well with the neighborhood. Over 65% of the existing home will be remodeled and an additional 30% new living space will be added. My wife and I were very pleased with the outcome and even more excited to see this design come to life for our family. We even have a Phase II project lined up with Yenny and his team to build out the outdoor living space. We would gladly recommend YNG Architects to our friends and family. Now, this also means the construction project will be large and complex and require an experienced general contractor. We did interview other builders but chose Yenny (via YNG Construction) for similar reasons as the design—experience, pragmatism, and working style. "They drafted up engineering plans for me to go from a composition shingle roof to a metal roof, added 5 skylights, so they had to calculate and engineer the rafters around the skylights, plus adding a roof cover over the front porch. Their calculations included swapping out the ridge beam to a larger beam and some supports upstairs for the ridge beam. Their turn around time was quick."

"Excellent experience again with Alpha Structural. Charlie Rosenkranz came to see the 3-story apartment building in West Hollywood. We discussed what the soft story retrofit plans will likely include. He's knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciated his professional no-pressure approach and answering our questions. Alpha performed an exploratory investigation of the support structure, as architectural plans were not available. They engineered the plans with city approval. They then consulted with us and provided the approved THP (Tenant Habitability Plan) paperwork. Production Manager Dave Schlaich and Job Supervisor Seth Price met me before construction. Dave went over the approved plans and explained the work that would be performed, and the purpose. They both answered all my questions. Lawrence and Antonio were the main work team. They were very pleasant and answered all our questions. Both had great explanations with Lawrence being very detailed. Seth provided timely progress reports by phone and text. He answered all questions, and provided contacts for automatic shut-off gas valves and stucco work. Despite Covid-19, they scheduled and passed inspections, and completed the work in under a month. We've seen projects by other companies stuck in limbo for months with no progress, so we chose Alpha to avoid complications. They removed all debris, and left the property clean. The tenants and neighbors had no complaints. Daniel Aparicio also explained various issues. Communication with everyone, including the office staff, was excellent. We're very pleased with this experience."

We spoke to me about his concerns with the project and answered all my questions over the phone. He was excellent to work with. Professional & Knowledgeable. The reason he wasn't hired was that he provided feedback that dissuaded us from taking on a costly project that would not have achieved our stated goals.
