"Amazing! I purchased a tiny 200+ year old cottage. Before I made the offer, we had a structural engineer look at it, as it was crooked and quirky, as cottages tend to be. He said all was sound, and gave me a list of remediations for the structural GC to make. We made an offer the next day based on that, and based on the tiny size, the GC felt comfortable making the remediations without plans. When it came time for structural inspection, the town said given we had not used plans, they wanted an engineer to take a look post work. The original engineer refused, saying they only offered post-remodeling inspections for owners whom had hired them as structural architects. I called AJA, and he came out the next day... a total lifesaver as we were holding up the whole project for sign off. He did a thorough inspection, giving a few small, additional recommendations, which we made. We passed the next inspection with flying colors. Because the house is old and quirky, it was not only the home inspector, but also the town commissioner on hand. AJA was quick, communicative, and professional. They were thorough, but not trying to upsell. Happily recommend them to all!"

We didn't have any original drawings and neither did the town wit details. Richards work was exemplary and nothing short of outstanding. "Dennis responded quickly to my initial inquiry, and told me the work could be done within 5 weeks. Unfortunately, the site visit did not occur until 11 weeks later. There were some issues with the initial plot, and this eventually required further site visits and consultation with another surveyor who had worked on the adjacent property. The shape of my plot is irregular, and this complicated matters. Communication during this period of uncertainty was not good, and I had to make repeated inquiries to get answers about what was going on. Paul Coutu, the surveyor who did the site visits, was very clear and helpful when I was eventually able to speak with him, and the final version of the plot resolved all the issues. However, the entire process took 5 months from the time of my original request, and much of the time I struggled to keep informed as to what was happening."
