He explained what he needed to do to help correct the problems on my computer. Mike let me know what he would charge me for his work and it is reasonable. He hooked me up to his computer so I did not have to leave my computer off with someone to get the work done. I just spent part of the evening with Mike and he was able to solve the problems that I had. I cannot thank you enough, Angie, for having Mike on your list. Where I live in central Minnesota, it has become nearly impossible for me to find someone who has the knowledge, experience and ability to help me with any computer problem that I may have now or later. "My computer had been running pretty slow and making a lot of noise for several weeks.  I ran a few anti-virus and registry programs, did disk cleanups and defrags - you name it.  Anthony found way too many programs that were starting up and/or running in the background unnecessarily.  He disable them and removed malware.  He calls at the appointed time and walks the client through giving him remote access to your computer through a program call TeamViewer.  You are then free to hang up and go about your business and Anthony will call you back when everything is complete.  At that time, he will explain what he did and you can ask questions.
The computer is much quieter and runs so much faster now.  I had suspected that I might need more RAM, but I decided to have the tune-up first to be sure.  The tune-up saved me so much money, since I didn't need more memory (RAM can be costly).

"Two Hello Tech employees spent three sessions between them on my laptop and deleted 30 plus files. The laptop is better, but not totally fixed. Past experience indicated the drive needs to be wiped clean and reloaded. I understand Hello Tech does not provide this service."

"My second appointment with Geek Choice in March went well. The phone call from the office to determine what I wanted to accomplish at the visit is a great idea. I would say that here is where Geek Choice can look for complications. For example, someone who's used a computer at work and at home may still be unaware of some basic ideas. For example, if a device is to be added, does it need to be charged, does the person have the correct cable or battery, etc. Young people know this; older people do not necessarily.
The representative was courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and offered additional tips. He arrived within the time frame specified.
I will contact Geek Choice again.
