"Friday evening while retracting my Marygrove awning the retracting mechanism failed. I had purchase this awning from the Marygrove Awnings store at 4617 N. Shepard in Houston. It was installed in December 2010. Monday morning I call the store and the receptionist said she would give my message to the Store Manager when he arrived. 2 hours later, Mr. Mike Mehler called me and say that he would be coming back that day as he would be passing by my house on the way to another job. Mr. Mehler came by, figured what part was broken and returned the next day with the part, repairing the unit. Unit was still under warranty. He also took time to explain the working of the awning and provided some tips that would benefit the life cycle of the awning.
Mr. Mehler is very positive person and knows his product very well. It was a pleasure to be around someone who loves his job and his company.

"The owner of the company was fabulous! He created a custom design and plans to attach to our current cabin structure. He coordinated tree removal, site prep work and foundation structure. He communicated consistently and made changes to optimize the success of the plan. We did a shop addition and pavilion and are very happy with the end result. Great job to Rei and his team!"

I owned a construction company for 32 years and I retired a couple of years ago and I have done all the repairs around my house and got kinda board so I have started doing handyman jobs and I can do just about anything that has to do with construction. Remodeling and new construction . I have a fairly new Ford f-250 and a 16 ft trailer for carrying materials for jobs if needed. I take pride in the work that I do and strive to do a professional job.

"David was right there for us! He installed them in no time. I would recommend Prestige Awnings to anyone!!"
Retractable awnings are not designed to be used in the rain. They are intended to provide shade on dry, sunny days, rather than protecting people and furnishings from precipitation, and certainly not against heavy storms. The retractable awning may be fine with a light drizzle, but you should retract it if you expect inclement weather or severe storms.
Depending on your local climate conditions, some retractable awnings can be used year-round, including during both winter and summer. However, you should carefully check the instructions for your specific product and find out what steps you should take to winterize the awning fabric. Sometimes, you can purchase a special cover to place over the material during winter.
Retractable awnings offer significant benefits by instantly enhancing outdoor comfort and protecting your furniture and living spaces from harmful UV exposure and inclement weather. They provide efficient shade that lowers cooling expenses and add a modern, stylish touch to your home’s exterior. Their installation extends the usable area of patios and decks while reducing maintenance needs by safeguarding surfaces against sun damage and rain.
