"Mottern did a fantastic job designing and installing a large flagstone-on-concrete patio for us. The work included excavating and leveling the site, pouring and re-enforcing the slab, and selecting and purchasing the stone, brick and other materials. In addition to the patio, Mottern also filled in an approx. 12 sq/ft section of brick wall where a door had been converted to a window. The filled-in brick and mortar matches the original 50-year old wall perfectly. Overall, the entire Mottern crew was prompt, responsive, professional, and very skillful. We would definitely use Mottern again."

"I am pleased to recommend International Brick and Concrete(IBC) and Rigo Ortez for all asphalt related work. My wife and I needed a driveway overlay due to severe cracking in our 20 year old+ driveway. We called and then interviewed a number of contractors from the area, none of whom were particularly responsive and all of whom were a bit evasive regarding price, specific work to be done and timing. We each separately described our feelings about these contractors as “sketchy”. Rigo was immediately different – he was obviously professional and directly answered all questions. He responded to our message within an hour, showed up to our appointment on time, answered all questions clearly and concisely, provided a proposal within a few hours of our meeting and then completed the job the following week on the day agreed. The price was lower than most of the other quotes we received and overall it was very competitively priced. The driveway work was done by Rigo and his crew exactly as described and per specifications and looks beautiful. While we don’t have direct experience with their brick and concrete work, based on the asphalt job completed for us and RIgo’s professionalism, I am confident they would provide similar quality work. Watching how carefully the guys washed brick by brick to make them clean enough to reuse and save money was astounding. Their custom cuts were accurate and many. "The job was labor intensive. The wall was done with great artistry. I was pleased throughout until I tried to get the walkway sealed as
Bill suggested to avoid deterioration in the future. He gave me a quote and said they would come in a month when the grout was cured. I also needed one stone fixed that my husband had broken. After dozens of calls and emails to Custom Masonry, I never got a returned call or email. 
Bill spoke of their guarantee for a year, but I don't think that would hold up either since they stay out of contact.
If they are still in business, I assume they don't want a small left over job. This was disappointing after such good service and I will need to hire another company for the follow up.

"The repointing work was generally done well. Old mortar and bricks were removed and new bricks were installed. The craftsmanship was excellent. However, the color of the mortar used differed from that in the rest of the brickwork, so at present it stands out. Sixpenny said to wait a period and then re-evaluate whether any change should be made. I would rate this as an "A" but for the color difference in the mortar that was not expected. The chimney cap work was done well."

"The crew built a new wall and rebuilt an existing walkway in my back yard. It took them two day to complete the project and a few extra hours to tidy up a few minor things. Now there is a beautiful stone wall and walkway that greatly enhances the rustic ambiance that we were looking for. I'd recommend these guys any time."
