"They were able to work 80 feet high with an over the roof operation That was very efficient and safe, without the expense of a crane. The work was done in a short time and was an improvement. Time will tell about the quality and how well the new mortar can expand and contract with the brick, and keep moisture out."

"Mike came out a couple of times and he really assessed my yard, including the water pooling problems I was having.  I wanted my patio extended, but because the existing patio was old, crumbling stamped concrete, he made multiple suggestions for how to make it look nice in the end.  He showed me how the end product would look and even agreed to incorporate some stone I had elsewhere in the yard to make it all look like it had always been there. He mapped it out and I was ecstatic about the vision he had. Unfortunately, to rip out my existing patio and truly do it the right way, it came in higher than I was comfortable with at this point in time.  However, I was very impressed with the amount of time Mike took with me and the different options and solutions he thought of to make it exactly what I wanted.  When I do have the budget for the project, I will definitely be calling Mike to come out and do the job. He was wonderful to work with.

"We weren't real happy with them. It was supposed to be a day and a half project. These two clowns came out and got it done in a day. They used a small tractor to haul the gravel to the back of the house. It left ruts and tank tracks on the side of my house. I had to fill it in with bags of sand to get the tracks out of the side of the yard. They were supposed to put paving stones in the back of the house but they laid them down on the ground and didn't dig out the ground. They would rock back and forth when we pushed on them with our feet. The edging was not square again the fence and was 3 inches short of coming to the patio. They damaged my air conditioner. They did not clean up after themselves. There was dirt all over my driveway. They had their radio blasting all day. I went out to talk to them twice and they didn't seem interested in talking to me. The plastic guard they put down to keep the weeds from popping up was short by 4 to 5 inches in some areas. They didn't level the dirt before they put the gravel down. They didn't make it look decent. I found pins and all kinds of things in the yard. They dumped the rock on top of the plastic and the rock was spilling out the gates and going into the neighbor's yard. We were pretty upset and got the owner back out. He said that he didn't think it looked that bad. We had gone with a small local company to help support the local economy. It cost more money but we wanted that personal touch. He acknowledged that there were a couple of things they could have done better but he didn't want to own up to any more than that. Somebody had slammed a wheelbarrow into the air conditioner. They did reset the paving stones so they wouldn't wobble. They did level it out. He said they didn't clean up because there wasn't a hose and there was a hose on the side of the house that had been there for 5 years. They did fix a lot of our complaints and the 3 of them were here about 5 hours. We had the air conditioning company come out to check to see if it would work and we deducted $100 off their bill to pay the air conditioning company. We took pictures of all of it. We would not use them in the future."

"Derek showed up at the appointed time and date to discuss our landscaping needs.  We informed him of our budget and told him he had free reign to suggest  some interesting ideas...we were mainly interested in having something that would make our yard stand apart from other houses in the neighborhood.  As promised, within 2 weeks of his initial consultation, we received via email a .PDF of the design plan, including the names of the proposed flowers and shrubs.  We were provided with a web address of where we could see pictures of the plants, as many were unfamiliar to us.  In our excitement over the plan, we decided to add some additional items...landscape lighting to the front and some landscaping around a maple tree and bird bath in our backyard.  We asked that the old retaining wall stones be re-purposed for the backyard to save on costs.  Derek readily replied yes to our changes and submitted a revised bid.  We approved the final plans and set a date to begin work. There was a few days rain delay, but of course that was not their fault. The crew that dismantled the old retaining wall were careful with the stones and constructed a nice border around our tree and birdbath.  They completed this project with some hostas around the tree and some some day lilies between the tree and birdbath.  It was finished with some cocoa brown mulch.  The leftover stones  were neatly stacked against our fence by the back gate.  The front yard plants, accent boulders, new retaining wall and lighting ended up to be beautiful!  The crew that arrived each day were courteous, professional and cleaned up the driveway and steps at the end of each day.  The person in charge of the plantings shared tips on how to care for the plants.  There were 3 smaller plants that did not hold up well in transfer from the nursery, due to the heat.  They watered and fertilized everything and told us to watch them.  If they did not perk up, they would be replaced.  We are so pleased with the results and spend all of our free time on the front porch enjoying the new yard!  We highly recommend Penton and would certainly contract with them again!

"I have been getting a house ready to sell.  In the past year, Steve Cichos resurfaced stairs, repaired cracks in a cement porch and resurfaced it, and tore out and replaced a large portion of my driveway.  He really works hard to do quality work.  His prices are really reasonable.  So when an buyer's inspector discovered leaks around my chimney, Steve tore down multiple courses of brick to get to the suspect area, replaced the brickwork, added new flashing and installed a raincap.  The brick work is just beautiful.  He does a lot of his work between his regular jobs, so you'll want to plan in advance.  He is good about forecasting when he can get to a job, and is especially good about communicating any delays in starting.  Once he starts, he gets the job done as planned.  He keeps in touch by phone on a regular basis if you can't be there.  One thing that I really like about him is that he has his kids help him out.  He has taught them a great work ethic, and they are learning the trade as they go. "

"We had a brick building from the 1910s where the bricks were deteriorating. In addition, another building next to ours was demolished and this created another dimension of repair on one side. When they arrived they worked quickly and provided great work with a very professional approach. We can't say enough good things to express our satisfaction."

"Marvin and his guys did a great job on my 100 year old stucco house. Hail had pitted the stucco , brick work on the front porch needed some tuckpointing. While they were here he noticed the chimney was not very secure. They will finish painting my house as soon as it is warm enough to paint. Overall I am very pleased with their work."

"I would like to grade the owner Mr. Paul Stoural high across the board. I have been extremely pleased with my interactions with him. He was extremely professional and the prices were in line with everybody else. He might have been a little bit more expensive than one or two other service providers but the problem with the other two was that one of them never got back to me with an estimate. He kept fiddling around. I even met him one or two times after the first time and he still did not give me an estimate. The other service provider gave me an estimate and even gave me a ten percent discount but they were going to charge me extra for the extra wood used for the sub-roofing. I was not sure as to what other extras would have been charged to me. The price that Mr. Stoural quoted was the price that I paid him. He did more for me than what other contractors would have done for me at this point. He did an extra large dumpster for the roofing material that they were throwing away and I was able to use two thirds of that dumpster for getting rid of the things from the house. It was an empty house that my mother had been living in. When she died, I was trying to clean it out. He let me use the dumpster. He worked with me and he was over the house half a dozen times checking on the progress. He did anything that I asked him to do. He was very cordial about it and was very professional. I would most definitely use him again in the future. It had been raining on and off. They started the roof in the morning and finished it by that night in one day. It measured twenty one square feet and it was neither a huge roof nor a small one. It was about average for a three bedroom home. They tore it off. They showed me the wood that they had to replace for some of the sub-roofing and it was bad. They went ahead and changed all that and they did an excellent job. The siding took a couple of days but once they started the work, they went right after it and finished it. The gutter work with the downspout looked very good. He would take the time and would answer every phone call I would make. He would do anything and everything to make you happy. He did quality work and he would do it if I asked him to do something. He would go an extra mile which was what he told me from the day that I met him. He would say that quality was more important than quantity. He said that they did not want to just slap the roof, siding and then move on to the next job but wanted to make every customer that they had, happy. If they were not happy then he said that he would do whatever it took to make them happy. He was sincere even though it cost me ten percent more than the other estimate. I got one other estimate and the ten percent is in comparison to only that estimate. However, they had not included the extra sub-roofing and the use of the dumpster which was an additional $300 for the month. I would say that his price was in line with the other estimates that I got and I got a lot of extra things like an extra large dumpster which he did not have to do, so that I could empty some of the junk that my parents had been collecting for the past fifty years. I had to get the house ready for sale. I could not say enough about Mr. Stoural. He was one of the nicest guys that I had ever met. The clean up was marvelous. I found two little pieces of roofing which were half the size of a postcard after they were done. The cleanliness, professionalism and the overall appearance of the job was very good. He wanted to put a sign in my yard to advertise his business and I asked him to go ahead as it looked very good. He was also very helpful in picking the color that I wanted to use for the vinyl siding. It was a brick home but there were soffit, fascia and some other siding on the peak. I did not know as to what color to use in a brick home that was regular but gave a deeper color. He helped me to pick a color that made the brick house pop. He was not only professional in the application but also very helpful in the choice of color in the siding area that made the house look good. He understood the importance of picking a good color. This was my first time in doing this much work. It was very nice to have somebody that had done the other brick homes and knew as to what would look good. He was a hundred percent right about it. I went on the street and could not help it but wow as it looked good."
