He identified additional areas that needed to be repaired (and stayed with the original estimate), carefully inserted the patches, applied multiple layers of joint compound and a layer of tape, patiently allowing the joint compound to dry between each layer, sanded and applied prime paint over the area. He was neat and cleaned up during and after the project was finished. He was honest in his appraisal and sincere in his desire that I be satisfied with the job. Highly recommend him."

"We purchased our home with a master bedroom that was down to the studs. The room had never been worked on since the previous owners tore it apart two decades ago. We had hired a contractor based on a recommendation by a realtor, and quickly realized that the work was never going to be completed. It was excuse after excuse! One of our new neighbors had just had some work done and told another neighbor about it. The contractor was the Handy Vet from Fox Lake. We gave them a telephone call and Kevin came out immediately to give us an estimate. We hired him on the spot! The guys dry-walled the entire room, finished the ceiling, installed our laminate floors (they had to level the floor before they could install the flooring), tore up glued down and nailed down parquet flooring and leveled that flooring prior to installing the flooring, finished three closets ... AND put a wood ceiling in for us! We are planning on having The Handy Vet come back again to do some more work. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Plus ... We decided to get a new puppy in the middle of the construction, and the guys fell in love with her, too! They were extremely patient with our "training" of little Sammie! "I am very pleased with the renovation results that Cardona services gave me. My 1972 Manufactured home needed an update and reinsulation. My house was drab and chilly in the winter. Ricardo had good ideas and satisfied any concerns I had and it showed. It was recommended to insulate the ceiling first to prevent heat from escaping as it rises. Ricardo recommended R5 insulation board to be covered by a smooth covering. I was concerned it would bring my 7ft ceiling down and feel claustrophobic.
