"Bill and his employee were very punctual from the free estimate along with the 2 days they worked on my projects. The work was extremely well done, well above my expectations. They were very knowledgeable and didn’t take shortcuts to save time. They textured the wall afterwards to match existing walls and popcorned the ceiling, it’s hard to tell where the repair was even made. Bill told me “I’m not the cheapest but I am the best” and I feel like I got more than my money’s worth. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone whether they need just a small hole patched or an entire room drywalled, they have the tools and experience to make it look perfect."

"Simply stated, the entire experience went wonderfully! From the very first meeting, through the demolition, until the last tile, fixture, or piece of hardware was placed. Everyone that entered my home carried themselves with the utmost professionalism, and each showed their expertise in their work. This is my first home, and the first time for a remodel and I could not have asked for a better company to take me through this process. I would recommend Sarasota's Best Construction and Flooring to anyone that asks."

"We had some water spots on our ceilings, and they had not been painted since the townhouse was built 15 years ago. They did a great job - their painting was perfect, and it took some time and patience to get some of the ceiling in the kitchen covered behind the stove and on the water spot, but Lance took the extra time to see that it was right. They are very careful to cover everything, and we did not have any drips on anything. He also did some drywall patching and paint touch up where we had new bathroom fixtures installed, and they were also done meticulously."

"The level of professionalism, construction knowledge, attention to detail and customer satisfaction with B & A was absolutely top notch! I m an out of state property owner and needed complete renovations to my property, so I knew I had to vet / interview multiple contractors over the phone. After a few initial contacts with other contractors, I knew that JC was the right business owner for me. JC listened to my needs and provided his approach, a fair estimate and timeline. Having a degree and background in architecture, JC demonstrated a wealth of knowledge when he answered my questions. The level of trust was there from day one! I felt like a family member was helping me achieve my goals with regard to renovations, purchasing materials, not wasting time or money. I wish we had contractors like JC here in New York. Contractors get a bad wrap, so my suggestion to anyone looking for quality of work, professional service and customer care...look no further than B & A renovations."

"Awesome service! I keep a clean house but with a recent surgery for my husband, had to call for help since I can't find the time to keep up the house. My gosh, they did a 10 better job then I ever have. I dust my ceiling fans--they get on ladders and hand clean them. Amazing job...even cleaned inside my oven!

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
