"Danny remodeled my kitchen & bathroom and installed LifeProof flooring in the den, kitchen and hallway. We have done several remodeling projects with different contractors. Danny delivered exactly as promised. Danny was professional, met the timeline / budget he committed to and the results were fantastic. Danny always kept us informed during the project. We would definitely hire Danny again."

"Tell-Projects recently performed a complete remodel at our home in Missouri City, TX. The work was completed on time and on budget and we're delighted with the results. There were some minor exceptions but these were the result of changes or additions that were made to the original project. For example, once the project began, we found that the electric panel, siding, air conditioning and ducts all had to be replaced. In addition, we added landscaping, garage improvements and exterior work mid-project which Zach handled graciously and capably. Before starting our renovations, we met with and requested bids from several contractors and found Tell-Project’s bid to be detailed and reasonable, though not the least expensive. (We had prior experience using the lowest bid contractor that a friend referred - an experience that will not be repeated.) What we liked most about working with Zach is that he is a capable and skilled craftsman and a very good listener. He took time to discuss our project with us and was always available and receptive to ideas even when outside the scope of the original project. The home has custom built kitchen and bath cabinets which Zach restored as part of the job. He also performed work that we requested on our garage, kitchen, and exterior. When we needed outside services and asked Zach for referrals, all those that he recommended to us were excellent. Another reason we can recommend Tell-Projects is the quality of the entire team. Ellie and the entire office staff manage all of the communications, paperwork, inventory and billing promptly and professionally. They willingly took delivery of materials at their warehouse and picked up materials ordered from multiple retailers around Houston. They even returned unused material to the respective retailers at the conclusion of the job. When you hire a contractor it's hard to know what type of crew you'll be getting. The entire Tell-Project team was always punctual, polite and professional and seemed attentive to details. In addition, they meticulously prepped the work area each morning and cleaned up at the end of each day. Our job involved carpentry and painting, reframing doors and windows, installing tile flooring, wiring, lighting and landscaping. The walls and ceilings of the entire home were repaired and painted. After almost forty years in this home, it's never performed or looked better. In summary, we are delighted with Tell-Projects and would not hesitate to recommend them."

Hello my Name is Jorge Vasquez \nLet me help you out!
Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
