"Simply stated, the entire experience went wonderfully! From the very first meeting, through the demolition, until the last tile, fixture, or piece of hardware was placed. Everyone that entered my home carried themselves with the utmost professionalism, and each showed their expertise in their work. This is my first home, and the first time for a remodel and I could not have asked for a better company to take me through this process. I would recommend Sarasota's Best Construction and Flooring to anyone that asks."

Customers say: Quick response
"Lance responded to a request for proposals I think I submitted via Angie's List (I forget!) for popcorn ceiling removal for a new condo I had purchased. I had a couple of bids, and Lance's wasn't the lowest, but as we walked through my unit and he heard what my needs were (painting throughout, some drywall patching in a few places, etc.), he expanded the proposal to include not only the ceiling scrape, retexture, and paint, but all walls, too. Because I was going minimalist with white everywhere, and my floors were going to be redone, he and his crew were able to knock out several projects of mine without as much prep work (like covering floors) . It was much more money than I wanted to spend, but for the amount of work and additional things Lance took care of for me, seemed quite fair for the labor involved. It was a big job! He kept me posted on any challenges, like covering ceiling patches (where it looked like a leak repair had been done before). There was a mishap due to some shoddy plumbing issues in my unit and he totally took care of the damage, no questions, or follow-up needed, etc. I really liked working with Lance, he's down to earth, responsive, and I feel I got what I paid for and would definitely use him again."

"We contacted Jimmy to paint my mother's condo before putting it on the market because we'd used him before at our house, and he did an amazing job. He came for a quote, and we let him know we'd be removing the popcorn ceiling, and he said his company did that too. We hired him for both jobs on the spot, and they did fantastic work. They were quick, and there wasn't a spot or drop out of place. They repaired some places in the ceiling with drywall, they patched a few spots on the walls, and painted the ceiling, the walls, and all the trim for a very reasonable price."

"I wanted them to concentrate on cleaning the cupboards, closets, and the bathrooms, but of course they did much, much more than that. They clean everything top to bottom including window blinds and fan blades and much more. They were able to remove hard water stains and toilet stains from a house that had been vacant for quite awhile. I feel very comfortable moving into this house now. They are very professional and I'd consider them for other services in the future.

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
