"We had popcorn ceilings removed from entire house including garage and repair to ceilings as necessary. They then applied a mix of both orange peel and knockdown ceilings. Both came out beautifully and weà  à ¢à  à  à  à  re very satisfied."

"The work was exceptional, we are getting compliments everytime someone comes in past the bathroom. However, the most impressive thing is how the owner of the company is always in constant communication with you. Jeff is a pleasure to work with and very good about giving suggestions for your project. Again, thanks for such great customer service."

"We hired Carl Hans Seitz, LLC for popcorn ceiling removal for our home which is approximately 2800 sq. ft. under air. They also painted and retextured the ceilings. We were extremely happy with Carl's company and their work which went over and above our expectations. They performed their job working around myself and 5 little, very senior dogs (which I tried to do my best to keep out of their way) and did it with a smile and were very conscientious regarding our safety and comfort and overall very pleasant experience! Carl, Andrea and Joe even identified and corrected items during the job which showed us how expertly they perfomed their work. This is a family owned business with very reseasonably priced fees. We have just contacted them again regarding painting the kitchen and master bathroom! We highly recommend this contractor!"

"Ivanilde's cleaning crew showed up early to begin the job. They sent out three people to ensure the entire job was done before dinner. They cleaned everything from the ceiling fans to the floorboards. All horizontal blinds were dusted. Windows were cleaned inside and out. Special care was taken to remove hard water stains from the bathroom grout lines. We were very pleased with the prompt and friendly service provided by Ivanilde's Cleaning Services. We plan to use this company in the future for our once a year deep cleaning that we no longer have time to do ourselves!

"I had a great experience with this company. They arrived on time, asked me tons of questions about placement, and advised me on how to use the functionality of the articulated mount. I would recommend them to anyone looking to hang a TV."

"Stateline Construction was very good with pricing it was in line with other bids. The workmanship was excellent. The installer was very clean and informative about the layout of the ceiling which helped my Wife and I what the finished ceiling would look like . I would hire them again"
Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
