"These guys are the best. They were very responsive, and we set an appointment for them to come look at the job. They gave us a quote, and stated they were able to start the work within our requested time frame. They took two days to apply four coats of plaster to the ceiling, including sanding/finishing, as well as fixing all of the wall cracks. Extremely polite and detail-oriented, I believe they executed the work like it was their own house. The ceiling turned out perfectly smooth, it looks like it was original. We are going to have them come back in the future for additional work - at this point I would not even consider hiring anyone else, the quality of the work is truly artisan quality."

"i was not able to be there when they were removing the popcorn ceiling and then texture the ceilings. I found they could work independently!"

"I hired Pedro to install ship lap boards on the ceiling of my back patio. Some of the boards that I provided had dried out over time making installation difficult. But Pedro and his crew persisted and completed an excellent job. After the job was completed and at the end of a long hot day they they thoroughly cleaned all of the work areas. I was very pleased."

"I hired MG Drywall to repair ceilings after doing electrical work. Miguel is great. He is very fast. Miguel and his crew did a lot of work. Hanging drywall, complete skim coat on the ceiling and texture. The results are great. Would never know any work was done. I highly recommend MG Drywall and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you for a fantastic job"

"Mr. Lee was first contacted mid-morning and conducted the estimate before lunch. He returned after lunch (as promised) and repaired a 2' drywall tape separation near the top of my vaulted ceiling (about 20' up). He noticed other minor drywall imperfections around the house and promptly repaired those as well for the original price. He was prompt, courteous, reasonably priced, friendly and professional. He takes great pride in his work. Can't recommend him highly enough!"

"We purchased a home with a renovation loan. Since I had hired Victor several times over the past couple years, he was my first choice for the project. We needed our kitchen installed, the laundry hook-ups and the popcorn ceiling covered up with bead board and trim and recessed lighting added. Victor is very easy to work with and communicate with. He is skilled and knowledgeable in every aspect of home renovations (electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc). We were extremely pleased with the work he completed and will hire him again for any and all future projects."

"Rob and Carlos did a great job and worked very hard to repair my ceilings. They fixed all the cracked seams and uneven surfaces. My ceilings look amazing. I was very impressed with their ability to work quickly, but still have good attention to detail. Lastly, I was in the process of some demolition of walls in the living room, which resulted in additional drywall work before Rob could complete the work. Rob made no issue about it and got all the drywall repaired immediately, to keep the project on course and on time."

"Company worked within the time frame initially stated and removed the popcorn ceiling to my satisfaction. The ceiling outcome was excellent."
A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
