"Scott and team were excellent! They had to remove and install new tiles while dealing with pre-existing issues from improper installation by previous installer. They met the challenge, and ceiling looks great! They also installed new ceiling in another room with precision and efficiency. He will give you a prompt response, answer questions or concerns and provide clear pricing. Work area is always left clean. I am happy to recommend Scott and his team."

"I hired Master Plastering to replace and paint a water damaged entryway ceiling. A representative came to my home, took pictures of the ceiling, made measurements, and emailed an estimated within an hour. The price quote was detailed and quite reasonable. A week later, a plastering crew arrived and pulled down the damaged ceiling, put up blue board, and skim coated the entire ceiling in a half day. Three days later, a paint crew arrived to prime and paint the new ceiling, again in about a half day. My wife and I very pleased with the work done. The crews were courteous, efficient, and cleaned up the area they worked on and in after completing their work."

"MMP inspected the roof and gave us a quote the next day. They did no maintenance work but credited us on the replacement quote. Once we signed and placed a deposit on the new roof, the scheduling was quick (within about 1-1.5 weeks). After confirming our color choice, they dropped off the shingles/supplies on a tuesday and by the end of the next day they were completely done and cleaned up. Found some stray plastic in the back yard but otherwise everything was cleaned up well. Looks great and seemed to hold up well in the recent downpours we had."

"Bob did an exceptional job with plastering and smoothing over popcorn ceiling. There was added difficulty to the job due to harsh weather conditions which added more moisture and other variables, but Bob took care to provide clear and concise directions for me and for me to provide to other contractors. I would certainly recommend"

"I’m so impressed with the work WR Builders Inc did on my bathroom remodel. They were professional, courteous, and completed the job on time. The quality of their work is excellent, and they paid close attention to every detail. I’m thrilled with how the bathroom turned out, and I’ve already recommended WR Builders Inc to several friends and family members."

"Working from only a picture that I found on an online house site, Bill built a beautiful shelving unit around my fireplace. I was especially please that he found a way to build around a classic stained glass window that I thought would have to be covered over as part of the project.
Bill clearly takes a lot of pride and care in his work. Not only am I very happy with the finished product, the whole experience was made much easier since Bill maintained very good communication (prompt responses to emails and phone calls) and was always there when he said he would be.
Bill is a great guy, does beautiful work and is a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely work with Bill and Neary Construction again.

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
