"We had popcorn ceilings removed from entire house including garage and repair to ceilings as necessary. They then applied a mix of both orange peel and knockdown ceilings. Both came out beautifully and weà  à ¢à  à  à  à  re very satisfied."

"All of the work was completed within the time agreed and at the price agreed. Contractor and subs were personable, easy to work with, diligent, and cooperative. The retexturing part of the work consisted of converting a heavy Spanish trowel texture to a light orange peel - the quality of the result greatly exceed our expectations. Quality of all the other work was good. We thought the price was fair for the amount of work involved. Would definitely consider Jeff/ Sarasota's Best Construction for any future remodeling project."

"After two failed attempts to repair minor cracks in our ceiling, Mike was truly a godsend! The previous two contractors left large lumps and could not match the ceiling texture. Our ceilings were unsightly! Mike responded to our call within 24 hours, and did the work 4 days later. He is a true artist and we wish we had started with him! He is a hard worker, arrives on time with outstanding quality. He does drywall repair as well. You will not be disappointed!"

"Matt was extremely knowledgeable about the project and did exactly as promised. He hung three TVs 75", 55" and 40" with hidden cables and wired up a Dolby Atmos theater room. The work was done on schedule and on budget. I would highly recommend him and his company."

"Excellent and professional removal of popcorn acoustic ceiling and painting of ceiling. Arrived on time, completed the job quickly, very fair price, left home immaculately clean. I highly recommend them."
A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
