"Drywall and Paint LLC Snohomish just completed the removal of popcorn ceilings and interior painting of my 1979 home. Out of the three bids I got, his was the middle bid. I chose this company as David Morales and his team impressed me as being trustworthy. I am so glad I did! They communicated the exact hours of work, and were true to their word. Part of the project was to remove and drywall over a doorway. David added two studs and patched it up! There is no evidence of the doorway. He also filled various holes throughout my house where there use to be outlets. It is wonderful to have this project completed so professionally. I highly recommend this company to others!"

"It was rangehood installation. Mike came prior to inspect the project, took time to understand the work and on scheduled time turned to do actual installation. Was meticulous in installation ensuring that alignment, sealing everything is proper. Showed no signs of hurry or quality tradeoff. Charged reasonable."

"It went pretty well. Ron came out and provided me a fair estimate. We hired him. Ron and his guy were professional and responsible! They got the job done well. The ceiling is looking good and the texture is matching my old ceiling. They also installed a new ceiling fan for me, which could have cost me a nightmare. I would definitely hire him again."

Customers say: True professional

"Chris has a lot of all around knowledge. During flooring installation in kitchen, utility room and bath he removed and replaced appliances and plumbing. He also framed up a new wall and doorway and put in drywall and finished it. Very happy with the finished job. He was always on time, clean and didn't leave any mess. My house is old and out of square and he made things work."

"Auland was great. He replaced a light, fan and mirror in our bathroom. A couple weeks later we had an emergency outside wall that needed a temporary patch job-(a woodpecker had broken through in several spots) Auland covered the holes for us. We will call Auland for any future jobs or repairs that come up."

"My wife and I are fairly meticulous housekeepers but, over the past year or so, a series of Family and health issues put that activity fairly low on our priority list. As those problems resolved it became clear that our 3,500 sq. ft. house would benefit from a thorough, deep, nooks-and-crannies, catch-up cleaning. The task seemed a bit overwhelming so we decided to find some help. My first inclination was to go with a large company that would provide a “team” of cleaners who would thoroughly and efficiently sweep through the house from top to bottom. However, as I read through the reviews on Angie’s List and other sites it seemed to me that overall satisfaction was inconsistent and probably dependent on which employees were assigned to a given project. That led me to consider smaller companies with better “quality control.” Selene’s Cleaning Services virtually jumped to the top of that list. Selene and her associate (who also happens to be her mother) came by our house at the end of a long work-day to do a walk-through and appraisal. They were pleasant, personable, professional and not in the least perfunctory even though both had families and dinner awaiting them. I was very explicit regarding our expectations, including: • dusting window casements, baseboard molding, light fixtures and other difficult to reach areas, • wiping down the face of cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms, • vacuuming, dusting and polishing furniture, • extra attention to showers and baths. Selene was not daunted in the least. In fact, she and her mother kept nodding their heads and stating, “of course,…we always do that.” Selene’s price quote was very reasonable given the scope of the job. When she learned that we had guests arriving soon, she was incredibly accommodating with her schedule, suggesting that they work us in on the coming Saturday even though that is usually a Family and rest day for her and her mother (it turned out to be unnecessary due to a cancellation). On cleaning day, she arrived a bit early and with a “crew” of four—her mother, aunt and another family member. My wife and I were working outside but close to the house and it was a delight to catch glimpses of the group at work. They were impressively efficient and focussed with well delineated responsibilities. It was clear that they work together often. Whats more, they brought their own interpretation to the mandated “nooks-and-crannies” clean, often going beyond what we had requested. For instance, not only did they vacuum the upholstery, but they also took the cushions off of our window seats and cleaned underneath; and they washed the inside of many of our windows. Upon completion, Selene and her mother were eager for us to do a walk-through and “check” their work. They obviously take great pride and satisfaction in what they do, as well they should. We could not have been more pleased with the result. It was precisely what we had requested—and more! We asked Selene to give us, “a good cleaning at fair price.” The cleaning was more than “good” and the price was more than “fair.” Our intention was to have a thorough cleaning done to catch us up and then resume the task ourselves. But after our experience with Selene and her “crew,” we have decided to have them visit on a regular basis."

FAQs for acoustic ceiling tiles install projects in Marysville, WA

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.

Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.

Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.

Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
