"This past spring in the bad rainstorms, we had some water seepage damage our carpet and drywall. I got some estimates from a few companies and went with High Quality Painting. We wanted to renovate our family room that had a terrible drop ceiling with florescent lighting. They were able to add a full drywall ceiling with can lighting as well as replace the carpet with some vinyl flooring, fix the drywall and repaint the walls. The job they did was outstanding. Their workers were meticulous, careful and considerate of your home and made sure to clean up their mess everyday. We were so happy with the work, when we had to do some bathroom work this November, we called Salvador and his crew again to redo our main bathroom and the work done with the tiling was stunning! We had a different crew, but the results were the same with their attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for more work in the future."

"Since parts of the house are over 100 years old, I knew that I would need a lot of new decking under the roof. I also needed drip edge material installed to prevent ice dam problems that I had been experiencing. I also needed trim repair and gutters. Everything turned out great. The timing was great as well. that got it done in 3 days working dawn to dusk just before the cold weather set in. The acid test was the one stretch in January where we got at least 18 inches of snow without a thaw. I had the ice dams as usual but no leaks this time. This outfit is very professional and is a real bargain if your looking for top quality workmanship. I would not hesitate to use them again for any type of general contracting work that you might need. I found out about Above and Beyond with my own 2 eyes. I was really impressed with some projects he was doing for my neighbor. I found out that my neighbor had been using them for years on a variety of projects. The outcome for my project was equally good. This outfit is very professional and is a real bargain if your looking for top quality workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend using them for any type of general contracting work that you might need. You won't be disappointed."

"We had a great experience with Jody, Terry and Brian at CCCM who did our 70 sq ft master bath remodel in March/April 2017. The original quote was approx $20,000 but we chose to go significantly over some of our allowances for things like a $1200 Toto toilet with washlet seat, so the final cost for the bathroom was approx $25,000. We paid additional money for wallpaper removal and painting in other rooms of the house. CCCM gave us contractor pricing for everything and made sure we got the lowest possible price on everything we selected. We did have to wait some months before the remodel could begin because they had other jobs lined up ahead of ours but we were happy to pick out tile and fixtures and wait. Terry kept in touch via email and phone while we waited. Once the job began, everything ran very smoothly, everyone was on time, cleaned up at the end of the day, and were professional and respectful of our home. The remodel took 4 weeks to complete plus the usual wait time for the frameless glass, but we were able to use the new shower with a temporary shower curtain while waiting for the glass. Part of the reason it took 4 weeks is we added on a few small projects around the house in addition to the bathroom. Jody is a perfectionist, which is a good thing in a contractor. I'm kind of a perfectionist so I was worried I was going to have to micromanage every step of the process and agonize that everything was done properly and that all of the elements would come together in the end, but Jody took care of everything and updated us about the progress made every day. We're very happy with our new bathroom and would definitely use CCCM again. Our remodel kept the existing layout of the bathroom but we changed from a tub/shower combo with a soffit to a shower with a curb and no soffit. We had 2 niches, a handheld and a fixed shower head with diverter, 2 grab bars, and a 1/2" starphire (low iron) frameless glass panel, Robern medicine cabinets with outlets, etc. put in. We chose to keep our existing vanity including the granite top and faucets so it was taken out during the remodel and put back in once the floor was tiled. Terry found a matching piece of granite to use for the shower curb. I also want to note that one of the reasons we went with CCCM vs. 2 other contractors who gave us quotes is that CCCM was the only one that used the method of shower construction we preferred which is the Schluter-Kerdi system, so I had a good feeling about them from the beginning. Cost-wise, CCCM's quote was pretty close to the other 2 quotes we received. I've attached before and after photos I took of our bathroom which was originally built as part of a 1986 addition."

"The ladies arrived on time...
I showed the around the house and gave instructions as to what I wanted done.
They went to work immediately!
Basically, Bathrooms (2) Sanitized
Rooms Dusted and Vacuumed
Kitchen - Wipe down of counters and appliances
I was extremely surprised that they even washed the dishes, which I was not expecting!
They also cleaned each ceiling fan... which I didn't even think about.
All my hard floors were swept and mopped.
They also vacuumed the stairs leading up to the bedrooms and the stairs leading to the basement wreck room!

They worked hard and fast!

"Wonderful experience with the brothers. I had my dining room, family room, main hallway upstairs and first floor, plus bathroom. They were both quick and efficient. They were strong communicators and provided a quick response for every question. I would definitely hire again for my next painting job and would recommend to those up in lake county."

FAQs for acoustic ceiling tiles install projects in Naperville, IL

Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:

  • Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?

  • What is the best tile size for my project?

  • What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?

  • How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?

  • What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?

Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.

Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.

Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.

Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.

Pros:

  • Easy to install and repair

  • Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements

  • Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance

  • Available in various styles to suit your design preferences

Cons:

  • Reduce ceiling height

  • Tiles may require replacement after a few years

  • Less sturdy than traditional ceilings

  • Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall

Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
