"It went very well. The job was done right done right, on time, at a fair price. We have had Czeslaw (Chester) do two projects for us (building a large multi-story home addition as well as doing a master bath gut rehab at another house) and we couldn't be much happier. He does quality work, at very reasonable prices, and most importantly, seems to care about doing a good job and having happy customers. He answers your calls, his guys show up for the job, and those workers do very high quality work (craftsmanship). No, he isn't perfect and doesn't walk on water, but if there are problems, he solves them quickly and to your satisfaction. He is smart, knowledgeable, and has lots of experience. Above and Beyond is capable of doing a very wide range of projects and I strongly recommend you hire them."

"This was my second large project with Jack and his team. They do amazing work. See photo of the ceiling and built-ins they installed as part of a renovation of this 1927 home."

"Erzsebet and two other ladies came to do whole-house cleaning prior to us moving in. Granted the place was filthy and appeared to have not been cleaned in years. They arrived promptly and had most of their supplies with them. The other ladies got right to work while Erzsebet talked with me about the job and the cost. She charged $100. per hour which I thought was pricey but I understood given that there were three workers and quite a bit to do. They cleaned the house thoroughly although Ezsebet herself stopped several times to talk with me about problems such as cleaning parts of the washing machine and light bulbs not working (although she did replace the light bulbs with new ones I had). I asked her to go back over a couple of areas such as the marble floor in the bathroom and the trim on some doors. They worked for over 3 and a half hours (half hour more than estimated) and I paid $350. The house is abut 2500 square feet.

"We hired them for a detailed clean of our house before a graduation party. Walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and everything in-between. We did a walk through at the beginning to make sure we were all on the same page. So detailed! We will definitely hire them again!"

"We hired Level precision to replace a drop ceiling with drywall and puck lights in one of our rental properties. It looks absolutely flawless! It completely transformed the room. While they were working my husband and I tore down wallpaper in the largest room in the house. Needless to say it was a disaster, the drywall behind it was destroyed. Ruben and his team came through and skim coated the entire room. My jaw literally dropped when I saw it. On top of that they patched, taped, put in a new outlet for us. We are so grateful for this company! Their pricing was more than fair! I am so happy we found them. We will definitely be calling them back for future projects!"

Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
