"Bill and Dean did a terrific job removing my popcorn ceiling throughout my condo. It was an incredible mess but they covered everything and cleaned up very well. The light knock-down texture was perfectly applied. I would definitely recommend them !!!"

"Tommy removed old, dirty popcorn ceilings from my condo and replaced them with a beautiful ceiling that enhances every room. Working in an older condo building has its challenges and Tommy handled them in stride. He did a great job and stands behind his work."

"What can I say except thank you, thank you, thank you to amazing and gifted craftsmen. Lance, Frankie, Johnny and crew came into our home and began to make magic. They rid our home of old popcorn ceilings, prepped them and applied texture and paint. They removed old floor-to-ceiling mirrors and added the needed crown moulding. They then replaced a ceiling in the laundry room and repaired one in the bedroom. They also built a header, with needed crown moulding, and installed a barn door to separate the bedroom and bath area. And finally, they painted all the rooms in my “go to” color. They then moved on to replace our lanai ceiling that had fallen due to moisture. They were here every day until the job was complete and cleaned and swept at the end of each day. Their knowledge of all situations with paint is excellent. They are true craftsmen. I absolutely love how it turned out and would definitely hire them again. I highly, highly recommend them to everyone!"

"If we could give them a 10-star review we would! We had our garage ceiling repaired (large hole & many small ones) and resurfaced and the whole garage painted. Larry and his son were on time and came daily until the job was complete. They were very tidy and cleaned up every day. They did an outstanding job! Our garage looks AMAZING! We highly recommend them. When we decide to remodel our bathroom (or any room for that fact), Triple C is the company we will call :-)"

"Surprised. Pleased. Since moving to St. Petersburg from Los Angeles 3 years ago, I have been truely amazed at the horrible customer service and work from people I have hired. I do my research, use referrals, but so far nothing good has come of that. Two weeks ago I used ServiceMagic on a sunday night to see if this might work, and within 10 minutes of sending my reply in , Matthews Custom Homes had called me (Sunday Night) not always the best time to call, but was happy with the response. They came out Monday afternoon, checked on the job, and had it fixed tuesday morning for me after getting a few parts. Honest, timely and fair priced."

"Luis came and quoted an amount to remove the popcorn ceiling from my bathroom. I accepted and he did the job the very same day. So happy. Will definately use again and refer to family and friends. Thank you Luis."

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
