"Tommy and his son did an amazing job with removing drywall in my bedroom ceiling and outer wall I was told there was a water leak that created mold on the ceiling and moisture in the walls. Tommy cleaned the concrete ceiling and wall and sealed it and then put a moisture barrier insulation. I also had Tommy remove all of the popcorn from the ceilings in the condo. I am so pleased with how the ceilings turned out. They are beautiful, no marks of drywall tape, no nicks it is a great job. "Lance responded to a request for proposals I think I submitted via Angie's List (I forget!) for popcorn ceiling removal for a new condo I had purchased. I had a couple of bids, and Lance's wasn't the lowest, but as we walked through my unit and he heard what my needs were (painting throughout, some drywall patching in a few places, etc.), he expanded the proposal to include not only the ceiling scrape, retexture, and paint, but all walls, too. Because I was going minimalist with white everywhere, and my floors were going to be redone, he and his crew were able to knock out several projects of mine without as much prep work (like covering floors) . It was much more money than I wanted to spend, but for the amount of work and additional things Lance took care of for me, seemed quite fair for the labor involved. It was a big job! He kept me posted on any challenges, like covering ceiling patches (where it looked like a leak repair had been done before). "My husband met the cleaners at the property to let them in and left. They said they could lock up for us. 2 ladies came and started cleaning right away. After my husband walked them around he was told it would take about 5-6 hours.
The next day I went back to the property to meet a contractor and to check on the cleaning job. The bathrooms looked great. and the inside of the fridge and oven were good. However it look like only some of the walls were cleaned- there was still a smear in the master bedroom on the wall that wasn't wiped down. There were still cobwebs up in the corners of the walls in the foyer and upstairs in the loft and the front upstairs bedroom. The ceiling fans were cleaned however the fan it the front upstairs bedroom looks like it had too much pressure put on it and it is now crooked and 1/2 falling out of the ceiling. The kitchen and appliances were clean however what ever was used to clean the stainless steel left the appliances streaky and dull looking. Also I know we told them they didn't need to clean the floors however I would expect that would mean they would not make it worse and clean up after themselves. There were huge clumps of dust, random bits of paper and hangers left on the floor. I called the company and am currently awaiting a call back.
