"I was very pleased with the work that was done to my new build garage. Javier hung >2300 sq ft of drywall, taped, textured and painted the walls and ceiling. He was very professional, kept all his commitments and finished the job on time. My communication with Javier was good with no misunderstandings. Work with Javier directly."

"Matthew and Mary were awesome! They are very pleasant and personable and did a great job removing our popcorn ceilings and painting. They got the work done super quickly too. We are very grateful for their hard work and look forward to working with them again next time we have a drywall related need. Thank you both!!"

"Joshua and the guy helping him did an excellent job! The room turned out great after patching, tape, mud, texture and paint. He even gave me some really good guidance on how to paint part of the ceiling that I was very happy with how it turned out. They were so quiet, we hardly knew they were in the house! We’re having them come back to stain the trim and railings outside."

"Mandy was able to squeeze in this relatively large job (~120 yr old 3br house) with just two days notice. That was amazing in itself, but what really took the cake was the outstanding job the cleaners did. They cleaned windows, ceiling fans, blinds, etc., and did a much more thorough job than what I've come to expect from others. Those ladies really took pride in their work, and stuck with it until it was done. They were awesome -- I wish turnovers always went this smoothly!"

Small jobs welcome

"He showed up early and was very professional. Raul patched up a hole in the ceiling where the upstairs apartment had leaked water and disintegrated the drywall. The work done was outstanding - very smooth and after it dried, I couldn't even tell there was ever a hole. I'd absolutely hire him again!"

"Carlos did an awesome job removing our very old and thick popcorn ceiling in a large room with a 20â ceiling with skylights. He painted the ceiling as well as the walls and everything looks fabulous. We will definitely have him back for future renovations."

FAQs for acoustic ceiling tiles install projects in Palmer Lake, CO

A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.

Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.

Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.

Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
