"A.S. Painting & Projects is truly top notch and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience working with Adrian and his crew. Outstanding communication, honesty and responsiveness combined with excellent workmanship and timely completion. My mom & dad's home needed exterior painting which included repairs to the garage, trim and deck. Adrian's attention to detail and vast skills in building and construction resulted in him addressing problem areas with ease and expertise. He and Frank have a tremendous work-ethic and are dependable, friendly and we all really enjoyed working with them."

"Right on time, right on price, finished a major job beautifully. Saved our bacon! [First-timers should know that plastering ceilings is beautiful - Michael even dealt with many recessed lights. There is some dust involved, just pitch in because it gets everywhere. But its the most beautiful work and its half the cost of sheetrock.)"

"Kanopi handled everything from sale of Armstrong suspended ceiling grid and tiles to arranging a local contractor to install. I spent many hours over several months looking for a contractor to install a suspended ceiling with no joy. I came across Kanopi thru HomeAdvisor by Anti and was able to complete this job in about 2 weeks from contacting them. Highly recommend using Kanopi for sales and installation of Armstrong products."

"Robert came out and was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and explained the mold was small and not an issue. He discovered what we thought to be chipmunks that nested in our attic. He explained it was not harmful, but if it was his home, he would remove insulation and clean thoroughly. That's what we did. We scheduled a date for his team to come back, and they were very thorough! They worked all day up there which was a warm day and cleaned every corner. I did not see any droppings whatsoever. Professional, hardworking, intelligent folks. Could not be more pleased with their work!"

"First, let me say that the installer was great. The salesman was not. We came away pleased with our garage doors but I wish we had ANY other salesman.
Our salesman forgot to email us the promised quote the following day and didn't send it until a week later, after I called to ask about the delay. Then he forgot to call us to schedule the installation when the doors came in. This, too, slipped his mind. He called the day before the installation. Then he forgot to tell us we needed an electrician to install ceiling outlets for the door motors. When I asked him why he didn't tell us during the month we waited for the doors ha said he assumed we already had the outlets when he looked at our garage. (Despite the fact that we have never had motorized doors on that garage.) He said he would bring extention cords so that we would have working doors that evening. Then he called at 2:30PM to say that he wouldn't have time to bring the cords that day. He would bring them the next day. I can't remember working with a worse salesman.
The installer was his opposite. Professional, competent, responsible, personable. The doors were installed perfectly.
Good experience with company. Awful experience with the salesman."
A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
