"They did an excellent and clean job. The price is awesooome!!! I started by doing the ceiling and ended up remodeling other places in my home. I gave the contact information to my office maintenance manager and he was delighted with the work they did on the ceiling at my job."

"I hired Hortensia to provide deep home cleaning services. Some initial positives: She called ahead of time to let me know the women to clean were running behind on time She responded quickly to my request for house cleaning Feeback on cleaning: 1. I noticed the women immediately went upstairs without taking their shoes off, nor did they have shoe covers....seems to defeat the purpose of cleaning when you're walking around someone's home with the shoes you walk the streets with. This could have been easily resolved by requesting them to take off the shoes, however it was an observation that I would assume they would address without the homeowner having to do so. 2. Three women showed up instead of two- not an issue or big deal but changed the scope of the work in terms of time shorted by 1 hour (3 to 2) being that one additional person was there. I wished that it was communicated to me prior to their arrival. I find that they rushed towards the end to fit in the time allotment, but 2 hours wasn't enough time to thoroughly clean. 3. I noticed many areas that weren't cleaned well or cleaned at all- kitchen counters still had crumbs in the corners, windowsills that I was told were wiped down weren't, items that should have been moved out of the way were left in their place and not cleaned in those areas- i.e. books on counters not moved, bags on floors not moved, etc.....very disappointed, especially when there were areas I told them to not worry about cleaning to allow more time for cleaning elsewhere. 4. One huge no no- there are certain items you don't pick up off the floor and place on top of things to clean like LUGGAGE. I noticed my husband's suitcase was picked up off the floor and placed on our bed for cleaning. I was pretty horrifed at the sight. I did notice that they cleaned the ceiling fans and dust in the corners of the ceilings of the room which was great!w Overall I needed my house cleaned quickly and the cleaning done was a start as part of my spring cleaning. Unfortunately I will not use them again as I didn't feel that they were thorough enough. Hopefully they will make some of the changes based on the issues addressed above to provide better service."

Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
