Customers say: Quality work
"The crew was punctual, very considerate about moving furniture, very professional in their replacement and installation of new ceiling tiles. They never wasted a second working and cleaned up the basement of all dust, debris and any evidence of their entrance and exit. - my basement was immaculate when they left. Terrific response when I first called and very fast visit by one of the company principals. The work was completely done in one day. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone needing acoustical ceiling installation or repair."

"John gave me an estimate over the summer after letting me know his schedule wasn't open until fall. After looking at the sagging plaster ceilings in our 1920s house, he recommended covering with drywall, and he did the work in December. John and his colleague did two ceilings in 4 days (about 700 square feet total) and they are a huge improvement. We're already planning to hire him again!"

"The work went really well. Once Pedro’s team got started they worked really quickly on the project, and were even able to accommodate additional work that we added on as we went (once the popcorn ceilings were removed we decided to have the ceilings and walls painted, and a new light fixture added to the dining room). Everything was finished quickly and looks great!"

"I'm glad I chose to work with Supreme Painters Inc. The estimated price for the job was competitive and reasonable. At the process front-end, Omar and Lindo listened to me patiently. They understood exactly what was needed due to their years of experience. They and their crew made the entire process agreeable and painless. This is/was the first of several projects that need doing in this old house. Our home suffered minor water damage due to the ice-dams that formed in the winter of 2015. After getting a new roof put on the house, there were a few areas where walls, window-frames and ceilings still needed some attention. The work crew, Nilton and Paolo, expertly processed the needed repairs, painting and cleaning-up without issues in two days. The only evidence they were here at all is the smell of the fresh paint - the mark of professionals."

"The work done on two ceilings was excellent and of high quality. They were extremely knowledgeable about their business as well as being very professional. They made sure that they completed the work in a timely and efficient way. They did everything they could to make this work assignment produce the best possible result and I am extremely pleased with everything they completed. I would most certainly hire them again for any additional work needed in my home."
A drop ceiling is a type of secondary ceiling that is dropped down below the actual ceiling of a room, hence the name. It’s made up of ceiling tiles (made of fiberboard, foam, wood, metal, or plastic) supported by a metal grid. The space between the drop ceiling and the structural ceiling can be used to hide wiring, pipes, and HVAC ducts.
Most drop ceiling installations take about two to three days, including the time needed to build the grid frame, install it, and place each ceiling tile properly. Your installation might take more time if you need to modify plumbing, HVAC ducts, or electrical wiring to accommodate the new ceiling.
Most drop ceilings require a clearance of at least three inches from the structural ceiling, though you’ll likely need more than that to make space for pipes, ducts, lights, fans, sprinklers, or wiring. In many places, building codes require a minimum ceiling height of seven feet, which can limit the amount of clearance you’ll have between your drop ceiling and structural ceiling.
Yes, you can paint a drop ceiling, but it’s not always recommended. Painting a drop ceiling can sometimes void your warranty because using improper paint or technique can cause the tiles to sag. Paint can also negatively affect the fire resistance, soundproofing, and light reflection of the panels. Consider these downsides before taking on ceiling painting costs.
