"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Superstars Interior Design. When we faced an unexpected emergency with our bathroom, they swooped in like superheroes and transformed our space in just three days! From the moment they arrived, their punctuality and professionalism were impressive. They clearly communicated every step of the process and followed through on every promise they made. The team worked efficiently and skillfully, ripping out the old tile and completely remodeling the bathroom in record time. What truly stood out was that, despite the speed of the project, they took their time to ensure everything was done the RIGHT way. There were no shortcuts taken, and they made sure every detail was perfect, without cutting corners. And let me tell you—what a difference that made! They left the space spotless each day, making it feel as if we hadn’t even gone through a remodel at all. I was expecting a big mess, but their cleanliness was remarkable. If you need reliable, efficient, and meticulous service, I wholeheartedly recommend Superstars Interior Designs. They turned a stressful situation into a seamless transformation, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!"

"I am a 73 year old widow.. I have had an on going water leak in the ceiling of my master bedroom. After spending several thousand dollar in an attempt to repair the leak (to no avail) Hammer Construction was recommended to me. I am pleased to say they were efficient, timely, and successful... I wish I had known about them sooner, would have saved me some money. Thank you Humberto!"

"Based on our experience, DL Flooring and Design is an excellent company to deal with. Their installers did an outstanding job installing 2' X 2' heavy marble tile in our master bedroom. The installers were both professional and friendly and did not get upset with my questions during the installation. Dealing with the organization from the business end was also a welcomed surprise. The work was done on time, as promised, and the price was fair and competitive. When a problem (of my own making) arose, they handled it promptly, professionally, and, at no additional cost. My wife and I could not be happier with the result, as the images attached will show. I am an avid DYIer with extensive tiling experience and equipment, but I am glad that we elected to hire DL Flooring professionals for this job, because of the size, weight, and material of the marble. When we have another large area tiling job, they will be the company we hire, without reservation."

"My wife and I recently worked with Nildo on our house renovation, and it was exceptional from start to finish. Nildo’s work ethic is unmatched; he's diligent and detail-oriented, handling the majority of the work himself. He doesn't subcontract for others to do the work, ensuring high standards are met. Nildo's honesty and transparency, along with valuable insights, saved us money. Initially, we hired him for popcorn ceiling removal and interior painting, but seeing his meticulous work, we expanded the project. The end result exceeded our expectations, and we’re thrilled. While I don't usually write reviews, Nildo’s work deserves recognition. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a skilled, trustworthy contractor. We'll definitely use his services for future projects. Thank you, Nildo, for making our house a home we love."

Ask the following questions to make sure you know what’s involved and that you’ve hired a good team:
Is your company licensed, bonded, and insured?
What is the best tile size for my project?
What fire rating do my ceiling tiles need?
How long will it take to install the drop ceiling?
What is the height of the finished drop ceiling?
Most residential building codes require a minimum ceiling height of 7.5 feet from the floor to the finished drop ceiling, ensuring adequate headroom and safety compliance. Since requirements can vary by location, consult your local code enforcement office or a professional installer to confirm the specific clearance needed for your project.
Installing a drop ceiling results in a loss of ceiling height ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. The exact amount depends on factors like the size of the fixtures above, such as ductwork or lighting, and the manufacturer's recommendations for installation. Local building codes also dictate minimum ceiling heights, so it's important to consult with a professional installer to determine the optimal drop distance for your specific space.
Installing drywall costs between $1.50 and $3 per square foot for materials, labor, and finishing—significantly less than the $9 to $13 per square foot average for a drop ceiling. While drop ceilings come with a higher initial cost, they offer greater design flexibility, easy access to utility lines, and are simpler and less expensive to repair. To minimize expenses, consider budget-friendly fiberboard panels, though their appearance may be less appealing to some homeowners.
Drop ceilings offer several advantages and disadvantages.
Pros:
Easy to install and repair
Conceal stains, ductwork, and other unsightly elements
Provide quick access to ducts and wiring for maintenance
Available in various styles to suit your design preferences
Cons:
Reduce ceiling height
Tiles may require replacement after a few years
Less sturdy than traditional ceilings
Installation can be more time-consuming than drywall
Removing a drop ceiling costs between $2 and $7 per square foot, which includes disassembling the rail system and removing tiles. Factors such as ceiling size, accessibility, and disposal fees affect the total cost. If you're removing a drywall ceiling, expect costs of $2 to $4 per square foot. Hiring a professional ensures safe removal and proper disposal, preventing damage to underlying structures.
