We were able to remove the wall completely and add a support beam in the ceiling. I even had a master carpenter friend of mine check their work and he said everything looked great. The work was done with minimal mess and they took necessary precautions to place plastic on the doorway from the living room to dining room to protect the dining furniture, as well as to cover areas of the living room.
