"Zac was incredible! He was honest and informative. All my questions were answered with transparency. I didn’t feel as though he was evading any of my inquiries. The job was installed exactly how he said it would be. The team was punctual and efficient. The project results are better than I imagined. I would definitely hire again for future work and recommend others! Thanks Titan Concrete, Zac, and the team!"

Customers say: True professional

"Had a contractor lined up to do this and he never would keep his word or the schedule so I got in touch with Jason to see if he was interested in doing the concrete work. He responded promptly, from the initial phone call and quote all the way thru the process he done everything he said he would do and when he said he would do it. Most importantly he made me feel like I was involved letting me know several times thru out the project what was going on and asking if I had any concerns or questions. If I ever need concrete work again in the Middle TN area this is the guy I will call."

Customers say: Terrific value

"There were a of communication (or lack of on the part of the company) and scheduling issues. When the workers arrived they finished the project, but told me they didn’t have a truck to haul away the rubble. I was too tired to argue, so it was left for me to shovel and rake. Later, I noticed that the workers cut expansion joints but did not cut up to the house because they didn’t have the correct tool, so they just left it. I had to call for them to come back and finish it. They also chipped part of the concrete. When I pointed it out, I was told to just fill it with sealant, and it would be alright. The concrete slab is good, but I wouldn’t really recommend them. Too much hassle."

"I would highly recommend Greg and his team. They did a great job for us. They took the time to understand what we wanted to exceed our expectations. The price was right and their materials were better quality than the competition. We needed them to help with several additional things as part of the process and they completed those steps promptly without us having to remind them. I could not be more pleased and would not hesitate to use them again."

FAQs for concrete work projects in College Grove, TN

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
