"The crew didn't clean up before they left and either the crew or the driver of the concrete truck left a washout into neighbors yard"

"If you are looking for a business that is creative, great craftsmanship and professional, look no further than Capital Patio. Derek and his crew were honest and upfront. He told us from the beginning weather is a favor in his industry, along with supplies due to Covid. We appreciated that information up front. Derek went out of state to pick up the stone we ordered! Our fire pit, bench, lighting and even added a pad for our trash cans is beautiful! Very handy guy. If you are looking for quality work, I would whole-heartedly recommend Capital Patio."

Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "I hired Peace Construction to pour the foundation for my new driveway. The guys with Peace Construction were highly dependable, provided quality work and the price was unbeatable. The owner was very knowledgeable and kept me informed every step of the way. My neighbor admired the work and inquired about this company’s contact information. I would definitely hire them again!"

"Outstanding Work; Professional Workmanship!!! Needed a large pine tree removed in the front yard; very close to my home. LTD Landscaping was recommended by another business owner doing some work for me also. Jason arrived as scheduled a day later to give me a quote. He explained in details all aspects of work to include the price and a confirmed date to perform the work if hired. As a Military Veteran I would highly recommend LTD Landscaping a Military friendly business..."

"They had a drill malfunction and the supervisor, Craig Adams, expected me to clean up hundreds of grease spots off my porches and walls. He would not schedule a clean-up team to come back and clean the mess rather the technicians spent a few hours scrubbing the spots. However, they did not come up. The porches look considerably worse. Since that time, they have returned and made an effort to clean up the concrete. The front porch has now been completed, and they are returning tomorrow to work on the back porch."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
