"They initially thought we needed the foundations and poles replaced on one or more support poles for our main border beam. This was based on measurements before the carpet was taken out. We scheduled the work, and had the carpet removed. Once removed, it was apparent to the crew that showed up that the work didn’t need to be done. They quickly reassessed and were honest with me about the reassessment. Their crew was already on site and they could have easily just done the work and billed us. They had a structural engineer contact us to follow up and do a formal reassessment of what work needs to be done. Their crew chief attended the engineer’s assessment to make sure they understood. Their estimators and crew were friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. I paid their crew (already on site) to tear apart some wall to make sure we completed the inspection, but no additional work needed to be done. Their work ethic and commitment to getting this right has them on the top of my list for any future work I need done in their area of expertise."

"The workmanship was excellent, and the new stone facade retaining wall looks very nice indeed! The stone facade was effectively equivalent of a 4" stone wall on the face of the concrete cinderblock and required the same degree of craftmanship that a fully mortared stone retaining wall would have needed in terms of cutting and fitting each stone. It is a pleasure to see such craftsmanship on display. Retaining walls do need to stand the test of time to prove themselves and while it is still early days we do feel very good about what was put in place by XtraCare. XtraCare also did not nickle-and-dime us which was very refreshing and pleasant experience overall. We definitely intend to have them in our shortlist for any landscaping project we undertake in the future."

"I was extremely satisfied with the professional conduct of this job. I had carefully designed the structure of the shed. It was important that all the dimensions of the slab be met accurately and that the 6 posts be placed precisely and perfectly vertical. They were. Working with Jaime was very satisfying as we had numerous discussions about details as the job progressed. I provided some large salvage planks from the old shed that could be used to build forms, and he provided several significant suggestions to improve the end result. The slab was on a slight slope. He provided much deeper concrete on the downhill side to anchor the slab and resist underwash. He provided a large footer under each post before the main concrete pour, because the posts were going to carry the entire weight of the roof. I would not have thought to do that. This is the value of hiring an experienced contractor. The shed has been completed and the first delivery of sawdust has been made. The slabs stood up to the significant weight of the delivery truck as can be seen in my pictures."

Abel took out concrete in my backyard and installed eco-friendly permeable pavers that look great and absorb water. "It was fine, except for the removal.  They did inform me that they would remove the debris for a fee or I could provide plastic bags and they would leave it for trash pick-up.  For this type of debris the city and county will not pick-up in plastic bags.  So I had to fine other containers so it can be removed.  
I think that for the price they should have removed the debris since they were will to bag it.  Also, since they were local they should have informed me that the city and county would not pick-up plastic bags with this type of debris.  Because of everybody going green you have to use cans or paper bags.
