"After a really frustrating experience with another contractor who took our deposit and disappeared for two weeks without doing any work, we were honestly stressed and unsure who to trust next. I found LEA Concrete LLC this morning, reached out, and within hours they were already on-site. Not only did they show up the same day—they completed the entire job that afternoon. The difference in professionalism was night and day. They communicated clearly, showed up when they said they would, and delivered clean, high-quality work with zero delays. If you’re looking for a reliable, responsive, and professional concrete company, I highly recommend LEA Concrete LLC. They truly stepped up when we needed it most."

Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "Great job redoing paver sidewalk & lighting after front yard plumbing line project left it a mess. They regraded to ensure water flowed away from house while working on project. It’s been over a year since project was done. Even in heaviest downpours & sustained, soaking rain events the work has functioned as intended. No more puddles or water getting into basement. The sidewalk & enlarged circle by front steps make a beautiful & smooth sitting area & walking surface. The lighting is lovely. Great family business, good communication about timing of project. Bonus- moved original pavers to backyard for me & stacked them for future projects. Re-Seeded lawn where it had been torn up. Great work by great team!"

"Bryan and his company, EpoxyPro Coaring are GREAT!! We extended our concrete patio and had them put on a covering on it. We originally said rhat we wanted to just paint the concrete but decided on having a coating put on it. It turned out fantastic. FromBryanto the crew that did the workweek totally satisfied and highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed."

"Great experience. We had washout area under the concrete surrounding our pool. Tarheel came out to review our project and gave us an estimate for injecting foam to raise our concrete that had fallen and also fill in gaps underneath that had washed out. Once we hired them, we got on their schedule. They sent reminders for our appointment, called the day they were coming to let us know when they would arrive. Tarheel performed the work, left our site clean. We are very happy with the service from beginning to end."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
