"I would highly recommend Concrete Service Pro for your concrete needs. Jacob, Graydon, and Evan were very professional through the entire process. Quoting process was smooth and clear. They really focused a lot of time up front to understand the scope of the project and not just make assumptions of what I wanted. Concrete Service Pro will be my first call for my future concrete needs."

"We were very pleased with the quality of the work done. While there remains a couple of repair areas to be taken care of; Tom has committed has personally checked these areas and he has indicated that he will send the men to resurface these areas."

"I hired Venture Outdoor to extend my concrete driveway to the side of my home. After getting three estimates, I chose venture outdoors because when Hunter arrived, he was professional and most importantly, he truly cared. He thoroughly explained everything and was transparent about everything, discussing my expectations and what he felt I needed to have done for the best outcome. I am so glad I went with venture outdoor, they removed some old concrete and laid the new concrete just as I wanted and I love it!!!! I am so glad I went with Hunter recommendation because he was right! No other person who came out to my home for an estimate explained things as Hunter did. He got his guys out and did the job in one day and guess what? There were no surprises! He informed me upfront that where they did the work and hauled the dirt was going to look a little dirty afterwards and that it would have to rain a few times to wash the dirt away, stuff like that. Hunter and his crew completed the job, while I was out of town and when I came back, I was so happy to see my new thick, beautiful drive way!! They even put in a drain for my water spout, and it is aesthetically pleasing! The bottom line is that, I would recommend Venture Outdoor to family and friend or anyone who are needing new concrete laid! Remember, do you want someone to just come and lay concrete or do you want someone who genuinely cares about the quality of service? CHOOSE VENTURE OUTDOOR!!! I look forward for using them for any future projects."

Small jobs welcome
"N&L planted a redbud tree in one of the 2 planting beds in my small enclosed patio, and installed river rocks in both beds. Because my patio is only accessible by foot, all materials had to be brought to the patio by wheelbarrow, and all work had to be done manually. N&L did an excellent job, and for a reasonable price."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
