"Great job by Joe and his sons from Pellicore Concrete. They did a great job for me with a concrete patio at the back of my house. Completed the job in a short period of time without rushing. Very satisfied, Joe was very helpful and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future."

"We hired AG Construction for 3 jobs. Alex was on top of everything from start to finish. He listened to my needs and made suggestions which I took and it made a big difference. From the day we hired him until the day after all three jobs were done he was in touch at least once a day. There was never a time I did not know the status of the job. The crew was friendly and worked tirelessly all day. They started the job and cleaned up at the end of each day. The end result at all 3 sites was better than I could have ever expected If you are looking for a great crew for concrete, landscaping or fencing I would give AG Construction a call"

"United corp just completed our land scape project which consisted of removing an old concrete walkway as well as removing a paver walkway and installed Techo-Bloc pavers. This was a 3 day project and the outcome turned out MAGNIFICENT! We are extremely pleased with the finished product. We are frequently walking outside our house to admire the work, along with our friends and neighbors, who are also telling us how beautiful the pavers look. Marvin and his team have been wonderful throughout the project. They are very skilled workers!! They kept our property clean and presentable throughout the duration of the project!! Marvin was always available to assist us with any questions we had during the project. I only have positive things to say about their work!!! Bob & Hannah Lawrenceville, NJ"

"Our patio and walkways around inground pool had became uneven after 34 years. Quality First came out and made all the concrete level after adjusting 8 sections of the walkway and two sections of the patio seating area. We are pleased with the results!"

FAQs for concrete work projects in Vineland, NJ

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
