"I want to thank Brian and his crew for doing an outstanding job on our driveway. They were professional during the entire process. From the day Brian showed up at the house to assess what needed to be done I was assured the job would be done right. He explained how they were going to do the job; what materials would be needed and how long it would take. It was completed a day sooner. I will recommend OLI Construction to all my neighbors if they need any type of concrete work. Again, thanks Brian."

They screened in our porch and covered our atrium, and the finished project is even better than we anticipated. The workmanship is truly excellent—every detail was done with care and precision. The crew was professional, respectful of our property, and did a thorough job with cleanup when the work was done. It’s clear that quality is a top priority for this company. We highly recommend Express Sunrooms to anyone looking for superior craftsmanship and outstanding results."

"Working with Joan was such a pleasure. He was prompt and professional as well as knowledge about the best way to accomplish what I needed. I wanted a concrete rampway at my front and garage door to create a step-less entries for a wheelchair user to get in and out of the house smoothly. He also built a wood ramp from the deck to the backyard. I was very satisfied with the work and would use this company again."

"Concrete lifting. Highly recommend. A concrete pad on the side of the garage was sinking and had dropped about 16 inches below level grade. I wanted the ground stabilized so that it would not pose a threat to the garage, and I wanted the concrete lifted as much as possible back to level. I did not expect it to be completely made level, but I hoped it would be improved as close as possible to level. Raymond and Mike did an outstanding job! Their customer focus was at the top of their priorities. They set realistic expectations and far exceeded them. They kept me involved in the key decisions all through the day. Each time I went to see their progress I kept being surprised at the level of achievement they had already met. There were problems with our slab being thin and unreinforced but they worked creatively to overcome the issues. I will see what happens with the warranty and how things progress in the future, but my expectations are good. Their word was not full of hype and marketing puffery, but if anything it was understated, realistic, and totally credible so I have a good feeling about the future of their repairs. I already recommended them to a neighbor.."

I have been pouring concrete for the last 20 years. I pour flat work concrete like driveways, patios, sidewalks and porches etc. I owned and operated a concrete business in Florida for about 5 years and ran a business in Michigan the last 6 years. Just moved to Georgia and trying to get going again. I am a quality reliable contractor

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
