     Ron and his team at the Narrow Lane came into a very difficult situation due to the failures of a previous contractor who left the job incomplete.  Suffice it to say that we had an incomplete yard project that we had been left without resolution from the previous contractor since January of 2012.  We were very familiar with Ron due to his work on clean-up projects (Spring and Fall) at our home and he was one of the 7 companies that bid for the original work that we awarded to another contractor.  That original award included the creation of 100' retaining wall made from pre-cast concrete that in most places was over 6' high. 
    Ron's team took about 5 weeks to complete the project.  There were a number of changes that we asked Ron to make to the contract based on how the plans took shape vs our original vision.  In every change request, Ron was patient and understanding and his team executed on these quite well.  For my wife and I, Ron really gave us peace of mind after dealing with a contractor who was unscrupulous and left our property looking like a moonscape.  He understood why we wanted a fenced in area for our toddler soon and offered some suggestions that gave the yard a better feel and look.  For example, while they preparing the ground for the patio, Ron suggested putting down piping for lighting that could be installed at a later date.  In the end we decided to add a number of lights that gave us better use of the space in the evenings.
    One of the key items that I continued to notice with Ron was that he would be on the site at least every other day and his staff was punctual each morning.  They worked some days in the rain as well when they were finalizing some of the stone work on the wall along the street.  At the conclusion of each day they swept both the work area and the area on the street in order to leave the space clean.
     I would recommend Ron's team to any of my neighbors.  He gets "it."  The "it" I am referring to is customer service, customer value, and delivering a product that a person can be proud of.  My only regret is the money, time, and stress wasted by me not picking the correct contractor at the beginning of the project.  Fortunately, Ron and his team at the Narrow Lane provided our family with a yard and landscape that we can enjoy for years down the line.
