"David was a true pleasure to work with when I had my concrete patio poured. My previous patio was an absolute nightmare. The previous owners had just laid brick pavers down on top of dirt and it had settled and caused drainage issues. After three years we had had enough and decided to replace it with concrete. After searching all morning and requesting quotes from big name companies I stumbled across Ace Concrete on Angi. The "big name" companies couldn't make it out until later in the week and one of them even had a minimum charge of $4,000 before even starting a job. I reached out to David and he answered my first phone call with a pleasant demeanor. He even offered to meet me at my home during my lunch break to look at the patio and quote the work. I was extremely pleased with the price he quoted as it seemed like an incredible bargain for the work that needed to be done. David even offered to give me a lower price if I pulled up the bricks myself which I was happy to do. David told me he would be out to grade the dirt on Sunday morning and pour the concrete the following day. David showed up when he said he would and it's clear that he takes pride in his work. Aside from his punctuality, the quality of his work was outstanding. You can really tell that he has been doing this for 30+ years. He did everything while I was at work on Monday morning (my wife supervised the job). When I got home I was impressed with the patio and he gave my wife some great tips for maintaining the concrete. We contacted Hardscapes, LLC this spring from a referral from a landscaping company.  We had several other companies come out and give us an idea of what to do with our back yard.  We have a walk out basement on a hill and the house has French doors that lead out to a small concrete pad.  We have a porch and patio on the main level, so part of underneath those was grass, and part was concrete, not attached at all to the other small concrete pad, and since they are on a hill, they were different heights.  There are stairs leading to the deck in the middle of the two concrete areas and the stairs could not be moved.  As it was, the back yard was completely unusable.

Hardscapes came in not as our highest bid, but not the lowest, either.  I liked Adam and liked his ideas.  Once we decided to move forward, he gave us an approximate start date.  He was right-on.  In the meantime, I changed my mind on how things were going to look several times.  I moved things around, added things, took things out, and basically flipped the whole thing to the opposite side of the stairs.  Adam took all in stride - didn't skip a beat, made suggestions and was unbelievably easy to work with.

Once the work started, it took exactly 6 days.  Instead of being on several levels, as I thought we were stuck with, the whole back is one level, all the weird spots are connected, we've got a fire pit, plenty of room for seating around it, a dining area, paved area under the stairs for storage, and it's all beautiful.  Adam and his crew were very professional, neat, clean, efficient, thorough, and meticulous.  I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them enthusiastically to anyone looking to add some oomph to their yard.
