We are a small, family owned and operated, deck and screened porch designing/building company based in Westminster, MD. We've been in business since 1992 having started in the Russett community in Laurel. We do NOT use subcontractors for building our decks and screened porches. When you hire Russett Deck Professionals for your project, that's who will be doing the designing, obtaining building permits, and the actual construction.\nWe are specialized deck builders and only build using the best of materials on the market. When using composite or vinyl materials, we will give you the best advice we can to help you make the right choice for your deck. We do not push any particular brand of material on you just to help us. It's your deck, it's your choice! \nWe will obtain any and all building permits and supply you with drawings for you to submit to your HOA for approval.\nWe are Angie Super Service Award winners for multiple years 2012-2013-2014-2015-2017-\n2018-2019-2020-2021-2023

"Great job!! The deck opening and added steps looks very professional and feels very sturdy. James and Dave worked to make sure the work was done very shortly after HOA approval and they ensure everything was done properly. All the materials matched my original decking perfectly. The guys that did the actual work were very skilled at their craft and made sure the fittings and all were perfect. I am pleased with the final product and happy I can now walk off my deck into my backyard. Thanks all!!"

"We are very happy with the results, the deck is absolutely beautiful. Dan Naumann and his team paid attention to every detail. All of the men working on our deck were very professional and pleasant and work very hard until they finished the job. Well organized and punctual. Every day after work the job site was left impecable. We do not have enough words to praise the workers and the job."

"They were so quick with the estimate and repair! The deck repair was done and looks amazing. I will definitely use them for further deck repair needs!!"

"I was impressed by the results that the team that build our new deck (John K., Teo, Fernando, and Lester) produced. They accurately followed the agreed upon design, adapting professionally as necessary to any surprises they encountered, ultimately designing and building a deck that exceeded my expectations. It's beautiful and sturdy - and construction itself took only 2 days, from start to finish! Our family and neighbors have already complimented it without solicitation, and I won't hesitate to recommend Fence & Deck Connection to my friends, neighborhood, and family as a result of the efforts of the team that I named here!"

"Homecraft Builders installed my 400 SF composite deck in August of 2024. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work and customer service. It was one of my best contracting experiences as a home owner. The project involved a complete tear out of an old deck, framing and footers and install of new picture framed composite decking, framing, additional footers and aluminum railing. The onsite team were very professional and kept me informed every step of the way. This project was permitted and the inspection process was a breeze. They even repaired my damaged brick pavers and laid 5 cubic yards of stone under the deck and ground perimeter at no additional cost. Thank you Jeff, Mark, TJ and Buck!. You guys rock!"

"They provided excellent service and a top notch quality fence. Will be using again when I need my deck done."

"Our deck was showing its age, but we weren't ready to fully replace it. Mike did a great job refinishing it. He also replaced a badly warped top rail on all three sides of the deck, as well as the old lattice surround that had largely rotted and fallen away. Very fair and honest - we would definitely hire again."

"We are very pleased with the work of R&L. Louis contacted me within 1 hr after I posted my request on Angi, and came by the same day for an inspection. Within a week we have developed a plan for the work and the project was completed. Louis and one other person from his company showed up in time, we’re courteous and meticulous about their work and completed Everton time. As a result we now have a beautiful deck. Louis was direct and honest, he explained our options adequately and helped us to decide on the option that was the best for us. His fees were fair. I would highly recommend Louis and R&L to anyone seeking to complete a similar project."
