Get matched with top deck pros in Palo Alto, CA

"Our large deck was sorely neglected - no maintenance in at least 8 years - and I worried it was beyond help or would be cost-prohibitive to rehabilitate. Rupert and Michael breathed new life into it! Rupert (company principle) is very responsive, and he was able to give a quick informal estimate based on some photos and I texted. This made it very easy to start working together right away. Now the deck looks beautiful, and they were able to stain our wooden deck furniture to match. Great makeover for our deck and lovely folks to work with!"

"A job well done to correct issues with my new deck!"

"They started each day at 8:00 AM and worked until 5:00 or later. They were very polite and professional. The lead person George would explain what they would be doing each day and then perform the tasks. The deck looks like it is brand new and the redwood has the original color and grain. Note: the bill included 4 hours of setting the deck screws so they could sand. Otherwise they performed to the bid."

"It was our second project with Javier and his brother. Firstly it was deck and now wanted a raised bed with fountain. It has been a breeze working with them. They are highly client centric and really work towards achieving what the client needs, even if last minute suggestions or changes. Their workmanship is great and also highly punctual. Also love their chill and happy attitude. Great experience both the times!"

"We spent 3 months trying to find the right contractor to tear down and rebuild our deck. We hire Brian ONeill after receiving a bid and discussing the project with him. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to come up with the correct deck configuration that we wanted. He is a true craftsman and exceptionally easy to work with. We couldn't be happened with the finished product and that he did everything he said he would do and was a complete pro before, during, and after. Thank you Brian!"

"Techwood did an outstanding job on our deck project from start to finish. Their crew was professional, punctual, and clearly experienced with Timbertech composite decking material. They walked us through material options, gave us a clear timeline, and kept the workspace clean throughout the build. The finished deck looks fantastic - clean lines, sturdy railings, and great attention to detail. You can tell they take pride in their work. We're thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Techwood to anyone considering a deck upgrade with Timbertech materials."

"This company is the very best. My two old decks now look like they are new. The crew is very detail-oriented especially with the prep workâ -power washing and sanding â so the final staining is perfect. My windows were covered while they worked and everything cleaned up when they finished. Also, the price was very reasonable. I definitely recommend them!"

"We hired Michael and his company, Northgate Development to repair an old deck in our backyard. It soon became obvious that the deck was not salvageable. After discussing it with Michael he gave us several options - replacing all the deck boards with redwood or with Trex deck boards. He was very patient in explaining the pros and cons of each option and the prices involved. In the end we decided to go with Trex. His installation of the deck with new supports and water proofing was beyond what I thought he would do. His employee Angel craftsmanship was excellent. When I identified a problem with one of the deck boards, he replaced it without problem. In the end, we spent more than we had budgeted but we are really happy with the results. If you need deck work, I recommend hiring Michael and his team."

"We hired Bayside Builders Group to tear down our old, rotting wood deck and replace it with a massive new composite deck, and they did a spectacular job. The picture-frame borders and the hidden fastener system look absolutely seamless. It completely transforms our backyard and gives us the perfect space for summer hosting. The crew was incredibly hard-working and finished the entire build in just a few days."

"We needed our redwood deck to be repaired. Most other contractors would not do repair only complete rebuild with very high price. Dinh gave very reasonable price and did the great job in timely manner."
