"They were pricy, but came highly recommended. They were prompt in scheduling. Their main selling point is the quality of the prep cleaning. While the new deck looked OK, there were missed areas on the existing porch. The quality of the staining itself was variable - there were areas where they did a great job, and others that were missed, overlooked, or intentionally ignored. The eaves were among the intentionally ignored, and I was told "that's defined as part of the roof structure, which isn't included." Excuse me, but the contract says "clean and stain exterior of screen porch" - it does not say "screen porch walls only." Another ignored area was the top edge of the fascia and floorboards, which they stained above, and below, leaving a gap. And there were several other spots that were overlooked even after a visit to complete punch list items. I asked multiple times to talk to the owner but he never called me back. Next time I'll just hire a real house painter."

"We were extremely satisfied with Scott Phelps. This was the second time we hired him. The first time he tiled the downstairs including entry, hallway, kitchen and breakfast nook. His workers were punctual showing up every day promptly at 7:00 am. He would show up every day to either check the progress or inform us of what was going to happen the next day. Scott also worked on our bathroom remodel not only with the tiling but also with the planning and design.

He is a stickler for perfection and will not leave the job unless the customer is satisfied. His workers are very talented, friendly and trustworthy. We had no problem leaving the house while they were working. The cost of the job was reasonable. Scott's prices are higher than many but not by much and we feel that what we paid was well worth the outcome. You do get what you pay for."

The two carpenters in particular who did the majority of the work were excellent. Only complaint is minor as perhaps they could have cleaned up better when work was finished as we found many plastic labels that came off the ends of the new deck boards as well as a few random nails. Again a very minor complaint."
