"They were punctual and thorough. Design was somewhat complex with a large pergola and when there were solutions that needed to be arrived at the communication was excellent. Quality of the construction is very high quality and precise. We have had a lot of work done on our house and one thing that seemed to be a common thread among contractors was that once the sub-contractors got started the contractor would leave. Often-times the subs would take advantage of this and cut corners or do sub-standard work that would have to be done over again. This was not the case with Southern Decks. The brothers that are owner-contractors and make sure that they are present at all times when work is being done. They are very accommodating when there are changes that come up and either do the work or communicate a very fair price for the extra work. They do not take advantage of being in the middle of a project to impose extra charges. The work on the deck infrastructure was so good in its integration with the structure of our house that some areas of the floors inside of the house were notably more stable. It is as if we also received work to further reinforce the subfloor in part of our house for free. I wish there was a way to post pictures here because the deck and pergola is really awesome looking. I would heartily recommend Southern Decks for your deck project."

"EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP!!! Expectations were above and beyond! Will definitely recommend highly! Compliments from family, friends and neighbors were positively overwhelming how how nice both the style and workmanship of the deck!"

"Southern Bell was great to work with! They helped us plan and replace our old deck with a new covered and screened in deck. We liked working with them so much that we also hired them to replace our roof and exteriors doors. They were efficient and used high quality materials. Our contractor and/or the owner came to inspect the project multiple times during the process and make sure we were happy with everything. Our new deck is perfect and we love spending time outside now. Thank you!"

"I would use Derek again if the need arises."

"Replaced decking and installed new rails. In addition, corrected some structural deficiencies brought on by time. Beautiful work; Jose knows his craft. Very happy with his work. Thanks."

"Contacted Quality #1 Fence and Deck for a quote for a new deck. They were able to come quickly and came on time. After reviewing the quote we decided to move forward. Communication with the office was easy and we were able to get scheduled quickly. The crew showed up on time and built out a very nice looking deck. We had porch that we wanted the deck level with and they made it perfect! We would hire again."

"I hired Thomas Hickman to rebuild my deck, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. He works alone, and his professionalism, discipline, communication, and attention to detail were clear every day he was here. He completed the full rebuild in four days using treated lumber and quality materials. He brought the deck up to code, installed proper joist anchors, and pointed out that the original deck had been built with untreated wood. The difference in workmanship is obvious. Mr. Hickman delivered top‑tier work and never cut corners. Several neighbors stopped by during the build and asked him to quote their decks after seeing the quality of his work. I’m fully satisfied with the result and recommend him without hesitation."

"They did a rebuild of a large deck and built it better than it was originally built. They were both very nice, professional, and kept me in the loop about the whole process. I would definitely hire again for my next carpentry project!!"

"Tracy worked with me and gave me all the best options for our fence replacement. He had fair pricing and now our backyard looks refreshed and new"
