"It went fine, and they do their work quickly and efficiently.  From what I can tell, they are a reputable contractor who will hold up their end of the bargain.  I would work with them again.  That being said, I've relayed to them that there were a couple of things they could do on future jobs to improve their service:
1) Let the homeowner know when they are there and begin working.  They showed up and got right to work without ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door.  They also did not let us know when they were done, so we didn't know when it would be okay to lock up.
2) It would have been nice if they put up some plastic sheeting to contain dust when cutting into the foundation. Although they didn't create a ton of dust, that stuff is so incredibly fine that it's miserable to clean up. Had I known they weren't planning to hang up some plastic I would have strung it up myself to avoid that headache.
The city inspector came by to close out the permit and noted that they forgot to caulk along the exterior of the window and more foam should be used in the remaining block cavities. These really aren't tough for me to finish up, but they should have a checklist to run through before they leave the work site.
