"Angie?s list was consulted when I was looking for a plumber.  With over 40 reviews and a solid "A" rating, there was no question that this contractor was highly regarded.   We made an appointment for the 13th of January but they actually had a cancellation and were able to fit me in their schedule 3 days earlier.
This was the time of the year where the Arctic Freeze hit Roanoke (around the 5-9th of Jan 2014).  We thought we had dodge the bullet but while we were eating dinner, a pipe in the main level bathroom ruptured.   Within 2 min or less,  we were able to cut off the main water supply to the house and capture most of the water that fell to the floor.
As luck would have it, the pipe ruptured with the pressure releasing directly onto the ceiling thus creating a small Quarter Coin size hole in the ceiling.    We cut out enough ceiling to discover a clean rupture.  Fans were placed in the area and left to dry for a couple of days.
Now, Kudos to Mr. Brian Lusk who was the Wisler employee who came out to perform the work.  Exceptional skills, very well groomed and presented himself in the upmost professional way.  Come to find out he is a 20 year retired Navy personnel and with me being a 38 year retired military person, we hit it off very well.
Mr. Lusk took the extra care to mark off and size up the access hole so that an access cover could be used.  This was the extra attention to detail that the wife was looking for as she did not want an ugly patch in the ceiling but rather an access panel.
Mr. Lusk prepared the site, performed the necessary repairs and cleaned up all the work area.   Impressive is that Wisler Plumbing is so high tech that they had credit card readers and GPS to assist them.   We reviewed and received beautiful brochures on the Wisler family of services and no doubt we will become a diamond member in the near future.

"We had inefficient lighting in the kitchen and wanted to install recessed lights. I called T.G. Electrical Services and a few other companies and selected T.G. Electrical Services. Travis and Mark were outstanding. Once we discussed the kitchen lights, I gave them my wish list for other projects and they did it all. The total work order was to: install 7 LED recessed lights and under cabinet lighting in the kitchen; retrofit 5 recessed lights with LEDs in the basement; wire and install two LED wall sconces in bedrooms; wire and install a light in the master closet; wire and install a patio fan; replace a GFI outlet and pull speaker wire through the ceiling for rear speakers in a home theater set-up. We couldn't be more pleased with their work. Travis and Mark are knowledgeable, dependable, clean-up each day and make sure you're happy with the final results. Highly recommend!"

"I ordered the Angie's List coupon for a Dryer Vent clean out.  The first available Saturday appointment was 10 weeks from the time I called (April 28 until July 7).  I was not pleased with this but I accepted it because with my schedule it was the only way.
Since it was 10 weeks away I called to confirm a week before the appointment and there was no problem.  The technician did a call ahead and confirmed he would arrive around 8am as planned.  This was nice.  Justin arrived, was very professional, and did the cleanout in the attic, outside of house (2nd story attic so about 25' above grade, etc.).  We have a 30' run with 3-4 bends and a high performance dryer vent fan in-line.  The whole job took less than 60 minutes.  The dryer performance is much better than before (1 dry cycle vs. 2 to get clothes completely dry).
Bottom line:  This was a good value, very prompt for the appointment, professional service, and for the same price I would do it again when the time comes.  Since I now know they are efficient I would plan a weekday appointment at a planned time (first appointment of the day) to get it done on time and quickly."
