"I had to have emergency repair work done on my oil burner chimney because of water damage. They did it instantly. Also think price was good, since they cleaned the other two chimneys I have (pellet stove, fireplace) free of charge after fixing oil burner chimney. I highly recommend them. Im very happy."

"The whole experience from beginning to end was pleasant, including them having to come back because they did not have the proper chimney liner on hand. They set up chimney caps on my main chimney and wood burning stove, as well as a new chimney liner in the main chimney. This was a new home I purchased and the previous owners did not have these set up. ADV NY was responsive, courteous, and able to put my mind at ease with their great work. "The crew arrived on time and did a thorough job. The reason this rating isn't higher is because the crew chief had been in my house no more than 10 minutes before diagnosing what he said was a dangerous level of creosote in our chimney and recommending installation of a $1,000+ chimney liner, which his company would of course be happy to sell us. I said no, thanks. The next year I hired another service - Emener ([*** Link removed ***] - which told me that the chimney was actually in good shape and pretty clean considering how much we use the fireplace. 5 Star clearly used its promotional offer as a way to upsell an expensive add-on that I am now convinced wasn't needed. Beware of deals that look too good to be true."
